I posted this pic in the new gear thread but it belongs here as well. A quick pick of my 3 AD-3200'S with their new straps. The one in the middle is No Prisoners Rebellion which I have owned for a while but it is moving from the guitar on the left. The 2TS quilt is getting the new End Times #2 and the black one is getting No Prisoners Stormbringer. There were 3 other straps in this package. The white Frankenfoote one is going on my daughter's bass, and the other 2 are currently TBD as I debate what to do with my AL-3000 and the stable of F brand guitars (all of which are Well-Hung but I may rotate a few). @Chocol8 thank for posting! Would you get miffed at me if I borrowed your photo for the socials?
How's the situation working out with your daughters straps for her bass? I'd love to know!

Might as well update what I've been up to lately while I'm dropping by

Suddenly decided I needed to try my hand at developing my own skinny strap design.
Totally flies in the face of all the comfort straps I've worked so hard to develop...
but the challenge intrigues me, and Slash wannabees keep asking if I can do it.
I mean anyone can make a black belt and punch holes into it for strap buttons.
I want to make something that is my own recognizable thing.
Here's a couple Well-Hung stabs at it:

Still developing, the looks are pretty cool, still working on adjustments and the
"size" template. these are Comfortable only with maybe a denim vest or a suit jacket/blazer
with some padding in the shoulder. Or for you bad-boy tough guys, LOL!

Couple of Cowboy Prayer floating pad customs sent to Arizona, these are padded!

Mr. Cool (one of my all time faves)
Image

This series is called "Burntwood" and based on a story of a Wild West Saloon/Bordello tragedy
Image

No Prisoners "Influencer" - yep, still making them
Image

And finally most recently, "Spice Merchant" which is an ideal tobacco or cherry,
or sunburst strap that features those groovy 70's energy colours on beautiful black leather.

Image
Going to have to add one of these to my personal strap stable.

On the StrapLab bench today is "Mayhem" which will be a knock-off of the old Waylon style in black and white,
and with the outlandish side buckstitching. These are quite a chore, but really striking when complete.

I'll leave you with my most recent post in the RiffMasters adventure I'm running elsewhere. Sort of a more music-focused
version of"AGF - Survivor" there's points and voting, but really only for the people who care about that stuff.
Mainly it was to inspire creativity, foster musical brotherhood and sharing, put all this gear to work.

One of the Chapter 5 "side hustle" challenges for an automatic single point is called "Hell's Muzak."
Participants are invited to were to create their idea of the background tunes that they feel would be playing
on repeat, suitable for The Hot Place -many interesting interpretations are coming in. This was my submission.

Hope all is well with my AGF brothers, hope you have a great weekend!

You can use my photos for whatever deviant activities you have in mind. My daughter is not home yet, so nothing to share yet, and I think I may need a Burntwood or two!

And one of those crazy things I get talked into that eats up the better
part of a whole week, but you gamble on it figuring if you can find
a way to do it, you'll be the first, and it can become one of "your things"
and you bank on being able to offer similar customized for others

Are you clandestinely revealing the "secret scale" that all those ads on YouTube promise will allow one to bypass years of needless practice in order to shred like our Narsh?

Accidentally sort of invented something cool and good yesterday. A new Well-Hung product line has been born, I just gotta keep tweaking it.
AGF'rs are famous for having a favorite guitar that may be a bit "anchor-ish" which might keep you from playing it more.
I might have another answer for you with new Well-Hung "BeastMaster" guitar strap.

Backstory... a few months ago my mother in law who works at a thrift shop, gave me this curious elastic loop, 3" wide, pink and black.. with grip on the inside. She keeps an eye out for interesting things I might be able to use, and kept it aside for me. Then it sat in my shop for a few months while I attended to other stuff, not really inspired by it. Anyway, one day I was feeling uninspired so I just built a quick and dirty strap out of that loop by cutting, adding a tail section and a nose section to it. Seemed pretty darn alright as a strap to me. Put it in the Reverb store cheap, called it a prototype. Some guy named Sean took a chance on it, and I never heard from him. A couple months later I messaged him, how he was liking it. His message back:

"I haven’t had much time to play it myself, but I carved out an hour today to try it out. It’s great. My thoughts are: it’s unique and kind of nice how the elastic grabs your shoulder so the strap doesn’t slide while you’re moving, but the elastic gives it some natural motion and shock absorption. It feels like a much more natural way to secure the guitar to myself, like it puts the guitar where I want it without thinking about it and really felt like it almost wasn’t there. I like it a lot, not what I expected at all!"

Well, that was encouraging, so I picked up a few more of those booty bands new, online, and they came in last week. Yesterday I made this one...
by riveting plates of croc embossed leather on it, so it could still stretch out.

Image

Not complicated really... just the right resistance for an 8.5-12 lb. guitar, 3"wide, with handy non-slip silicon-ish grip built inside. Grippy enough so it works just excellent on either shoulder if you ever want to try the 'ol side carry. Do it, it's fun! Tested the prototype for a couple hours, - wanted to maybe take it to the guitar show if it worked out, the dang thing is performing way beyond my expectations, it's totally something else.

There are plenty of clowny black elastic straps out there go "boi-oi-oing!" Too much! Too silly! Way too easy to get out of control. This one hardly moves a half inch under 8.8 lbs. You can push it another five or six inches by adding a little downward pressure. But even with approx 13 lbs on it, that weight doesn't seem at all uncomfortable. The whole rig kind of hugs you, keeps the guitar real close. Adapts fantastically for pulling the neck up high and tight. Or push it right down and go all machine gun without even thinking about it. Crazy practical. Plus with the riveted leather "BeastMaster" design, I can style 'er up, color match guitars with the leather or go with different rivet choices via the hardware. So very customizable!

Not super fast to build, but not too crazy either. Then, last night I tossed and turned thinking about this thing LOL! I get kinda excited, maybe a little obsessed. Got up early, made three things: Coffee, breakfast, and..

Another BeastMaster!

Image

This time I tried sewing quick dyed-to-match gator panels onto the band, a little closer together too. Didn't seem to affect the general flex, maybe a little bit to the lesser. barely discernible. I could still add some hardware, but I like how these sit a bit better. Left the top of the lowest panel open, to function as a handy pick pocket - Like it so much I didn't bother to even pad it out. Maybe I will tomorrow. I know that will further limit the flex, stitching along the vertical of the strap will do that. Any sewing horizontal across the 3" width won't affect.

Anyway, this is something I found interesting, and I hope you did too. I will be taking this and a bunch of other stuff I've built lately to the Edmonton guitar show next weekend. Always a grind getting prepped for these things, but I do find I do some of my best work leading into a public showcase like this. Always great to get out of my shop and go meet some of my customers in person, every time I attend these events I make new friends!

But dang these events sure can be noisy! I'll take a few guitars too, still deciding which, I'd like to unload one or two if I can.
