A couple of years ago Mossman sent me two push/pull pots for my Agile AL. I never get to do the job, but I´m up to do it now. I initially wanted to do the coil split option, but decided on the series/parallel mod better, to avoid hum in the split position.

I have a wiring diagram for that from Seymour Duncan, no problem.

The thing is that, since I´ll be dismantling all the wiring, I though "why not try the 50s wiring thing also?". But I got a little confused with the diagrams I´ve found as they only deal with the 50s wiring mod without any other mod, so I´m not really sure how to do it. I mean, they won´t show the 50s wiring mod along with the series/parallel mod. In the 50s mod, caps are connected to the third lug of the tone pot and the middle lug of the volume pot, while the Seymour Duncan diagram connects the caps to ground and to the middle lugs of the tone pots for the S/P mod alone.

Can anybody give me a hand with this? 50s wiring+Series/parallel would be a totally different diagram than this?

Here´s the pic of the Seymour Duncan S/P diagram. How can I add the 50s wiring mod to that S/P diagram with push/pull pots?

(As a side note, volume push/pulls are used in the diagram. The ones I have to replace the originals for are 10A500K. The volume pots on my guitar are B500K Alpha).

Thanks for any help (if it gets too complicated, or if it cannot be done, I´ll just do the series/parallel mod, no problem :geek: ).

I'm like super knowledgeable so I think the orange doohickey goes to the thingamabob and then the whatchamacallit goes to the solar panel or something like that.😜

Sorry couldn't resist I hope you get a real answer from someone far more intelligent than me because I need to rewire one too and this sounds great.

I appreciate good jokes, Bull! LOL

It´s great that you´re interested too. I´m still searching the net to figure out the whole thing. :idea:

@sabasgr68, take it in steps:

Step 1: 50's Wiring:
1.) If you have modern wiring, Lug #3 of your volume pot will have the 'hot' lead from your pickup AND the lead from its corresponding tone pot. ID the one from the tone pot and unsolder it from Lug #3, leaving only the hot from your pickup soldered to that lug.
2.) Lug #2 (middle lug) will already have the lead to the toggle switch soldered to it. Add the lead from the tone pot to Lug #2, along with the switch lead, by soldering it in.
3.) Repeat for the other pickup. After that, you have completed the 50's wring and can move on to the 'series-parralel'.

Let me know how you make out!

Thank you so much. I have found some schematics on the 50s wiring, and planned on doing just as you suggested. First the 50s, then the series/parallel. I appreciate your aid, makes me go more confident :)

I will! Thanks!
