Screws for Direct Mounting Pickups Without Drilling Through the Tabs?

I had issues with this as well when I installed Fishman Fluence pickups in my Schecter Apocalypse and the original screws were stripped. Had to have someone cut the usual mounting screws shorter. If you find any screws, please share here for future reference.

I'm thinking they would have to be very small then. Probably like a #2 wood screw or smaller. I know there are at least 3 sizes of baseplate feet.
Wood screw but you need as long as possible before coming out the other side. Small bracket but then you need a shorter foot screw and nut to match, can flip it either way if you have the room.

Here's what I use:
Sorry I don't have a name for the part, I just carry my last one into the local mom and pop hardware store and buy what they have left or have them make an order for me. The interior shaft of the screw (not the flanges) measures 3/32". Make sure it's an inch long at least. I haven't found anything that holds better, yet still goes through an un-modified pickup tab.
Unless there's no other way, or you're dead set on direct mount - I'd recommend you go with pickup rings. They are far more stable and easier to install.
If you do decide to direct mount, be aware that screws this thin tend to rip out rather easily - even in hardwood. I try to avoid it and either use rings or drill out the pickups so I can put more substantial screws in.
