So, I’m a sausage-fingered hack - that’s a given. I play mostly classic hard rock with occasional forays into classic metal.

I have a HeadRush modeller, but the USB board has fried out (for the second time) and the manufacturer refuses to even respond to my communications. Anyway, I can “print” my tones from the HeadRush to tracks, but can’t re-amp or anything fun like that... once it’s recorded, it’s in.

I also have the base amps and plugins that came with Amplitube4 Custom Shop (I think), which isn’t many, and a bunch of the free VST amps that are out there (Blur Cat, Ignite, LePou, etc.).

All of these sound okay, but not great to me. I’m also a guy who doesn’t need, or want, endless choices and tweakability.

So, I’m considering getting the Archetype Plini plug-in, which seems to have what I need. Their plugins are generally held in high regard (I know Narsh likes the Nolly).

Hmmmmmm. I could also use EZDrummer (currently using MT Power Drumkit) - so I guess I gotta make a choice here.

Sorry to hear about your experience with the Headrush. It's not the first time I've heard of problems with their hardware.
