Orange is refusing to get into the digital modeling world, but honestly their reasoning is pretty solid: basically, "We know tube and solid-state amps and we don't know modeling, and the modeling space is already pretty crowded." The article also gets a bit into the history of the Crush line.

There are so many companies with so much more Money or cheap labor that it would be damn hard for them to compete, then add in the rip-off companies in China straight up taking designs and re-badging or making slightly different, but basically the same thing with inferior components, why would any company waste the resources when they make such kickass solid state gear?

I know nothing about Orange amps. Nada. Never played through one.
But this thread has inspired me to check out the Orange amp sim in my Fender Mustang LT50.

I owned an Orange Rocker 30 head for a while. I sold the head and kept the 1x12 Orange Cab. It has a V30 and is one of the best sounding cabs I have ever owned, just something special about it.
I keep seeing bands with the guitar playing through a floor processor of some sort, Line 6, or other, and I have to admit I am hearing some great tones. The problem is we rarely mic up and use only one Bose stick for a PA. I do not think it would optimum for all the sound on the stage to be coming from one spot. The bands I have observed are using multiple monitor feeds and L and R mains and subs. Plus I have no idea how to work one of those things and probably never will. When they start talking banks, patches, etc., I am lost. One day I may take the time to have a friend show me how they work. I have some buds that use them regularly.
