This is a Chinese guitar manufacturer which usually wouldn't interest me much but it appears that all their guitars have really nicely done Stainless frets. https://eartguitar.com/

Yeah, I'm waiting for a community of non-shills talking it up. I love SS frets, especially for writing on a guitar, because I might just play the same phrase 300 times before I know what comes after it. But most YouTubers are less than honest in reviewing, so I can wait it out.

Oh I agree you gotta take what you hear on Youtube with a grain of salt. It sound's good though the way he describes it with full size pots and fairly good hardware. I would buy one but I have sworn off buying anymore guitars at least for now due to other financial considerations.

I was good, waiting for more reviews (especially here), but I didn't mind my own business. I checked GC Used, and saw a lefty EART GW2 with gig bag for $189.99. It was just too tempting to try one out at that price. They are currently selling new for $399, and the gig bag (according to EART's site) is another $60 on top of that. So less than half price. Worst case scenario, I'll return it to GC and lose the $19.36 shipping cost for a 45 day rental. Not a bad deal.

I was too fast on the trigger to capture the one picture in the listing, and when I tried to return to the listing after ordering it, they had already taken the listing down. Instead, I'm referencing a stock image from the EART site, and it looked just the same as this:

So @sabasgr68, you were correct after all. It turns out I am buying another guitar (just) before Christmas, or I'm renting one. Either way, I'll be able to give my honest opinion of it after a few days playing. Personally, I don't mind the headless thing, and I love SS frets and burl tops. The reviews seem good.

I've not tried Eart but just a heads up that Firefly uses stainless steel frets now too and they are mostly $200 or cheaper.
Any guitar I get under $500 I go in to with the mindset that some work will be required to get it how I like it and I think some folks have had bad luck with them but I have about 10 and all have been fine with me

Congrats on the new guitar, hope you really like it!

I´m glad I was correct! I mean, the spirit of AGF has to be kept alive with New Gear Day threads!

It might be that all AGFers are done hoard... mmm, excuse me, buying guitars ( :o ), or there aren´t really new exciting guitars out there!

PS: In good AGF spirit, I will at least check out those Eart guitars on their web page :)

I have one from before they went to the new-style bridge and changed the body shape, and it's actually pretty good. The previous owner of mine effed with it a bit (got rid of the zero fret and put on a poorly cut nrw nut), but I still quite like it. Suuuuper comfy to play.

The frets are very nice. It seems to me like they are simply cutting and shaping them before pressing them in, but if it works, why not?

I loved the stainless frets and the build of mine when I had it.
