Mitchell guitars anybody? Just found them...

Maybe I´m late to this discoverying. I´ve just came accross this brand when it was mentioned it was made in the IYV (Inyen Vina) guitar factory for Guitar Center - as well as some high end Harley Bentons, (?) -. I know some AGFers have had IYV made some custom guitars for them.
The thing is that I fell in love with one of their electric-acoustics, and of course, one of their LP style model, the MS450.
Some pics below, including some of Guitar Center. Not sure if the LP style for $400 is a
fair price or is it overpriced - or even underpriced? -.
Thoughts? Anybody has one, or two, or more? Those of you who still go to Guitar Center stores have seen them?

I know they have been reviewed favourably.
It's getting harder and harder to find something truly crappy these days.

I´ll try to check some videos later. Yeah, you´re right...

I haven't seen their electrics, but I once bought an acoustic Mitchell for my wife, and it was very well made. Played and sounded great, and not a flaw on it.

I've played numerous acoustics. they are ridiculously cheap compared to Yamaha, etc. And I haven't played one that disappointed me yet, so I don't understand the low prices for them, especially used. I am not familiar with the electrics.

That´s good to know. Not gonna buy any, but it´s good to know they´re not bad.

Go figure... First time I heard about this brand.
Let´s hope someone chime in with some experience with the electrics.

They're the house brand for guitar center/ musicians friend, so probably unknown outside the US .
I have their single cut, it is a very well made, nice playing and sounding instrument. Zero complaints. Mine is the ms400, which has a thicker neck compared to the ms450, which I prefer. Mine was made in China.
Like all IYV instruments, the ms450s have stunning tops, but have flaws when you look closely (especially around bindings)
As for the price, it goes on sale regularly. It was going for $200 at its lowest about a year ago.I guarantee It will go down again by the end of the year.

I bought the MS450 a while back when it was on sale for $199. Very nice guitar, good sounding pickups (with push/pull split).

I would say that as the house brand for GC/MF they are unknown outside GC/MF.
I've never lived within 100 miles of a GC so this thread was my introduction to them.

Thanks for commenting about your experience with the single cut. Oh, so they have different necks? Ok. I think I´ll like the thicker one too, the only thing is the MS400 only comes in two colors that I´m not crazy about
, but that doesn´t matter either, since I won´t buy any LOL, not right now, at least, so it doesn´t matter which one I like more. I thought about asking for them here because their specs looked good on paper.

You all seemed to have them for a nice price. I´m glad you have a good opinion on them.

Haha
Well, I´m happy I introduced you to a local USA house brand guitar - even if it´s made in China -. You´ll now have to take a trip to your nearest GC store to check some of those.
(Mmm... not sure if they make them mirrored).

I don't think so. I've never heard anything good about GC. There is nothing on my "want list" at the moment.
So why should I drive 100+ miles each direction to go look??? When every acoustic guitar I own is better.

Just for the joy of driving your Jag and enjoy the ride, maybe?
I would drive anywhere if I had my beloved 1992 Range Rover in my garage...
(Mmm... I don´t even have a garage where I live
).

I gave the Jag as a Christmas present last year.
