I dont know if you all saw this:

The Dean v79 is the guitar I have been scoping for a good used deal for about 2 years.
Not a fan of the headstock shape, but not a deal killer. Took a while to grow on me.
It seems to be the best bang for the buck in a set neck Vee.
Still, at around $500. I couldn't pull the trigger.
Now they are going away, along with some of the other very Gibson-like models.
In the meantime, I was able to buy the Firefly V to see if the V is a good fit for me, comfortable with the shape etc.
I like the Firefly a lot, but am tempted to buy a V79 before they go more or less extinct.
