BOLO: Lefty Peerless Songbird

I decided I really would like to buy a lefty Peerless Songbird, but they're impossible to find. They kinda look like Epi Casinos, but without the [rather not say what they remind me of] exaggerated headstock. They look like this

If anyone knows of one not being appreciated, I'd love a contact. Thanks!

Calling all lefties - Jerry (of Jerry's Lefty Guitars) just told me he'll think about getting a run of lefty Songbirds made. It would not be the first time he's done it, and these are not to be found used anywhere anymore. Peerless was the company making the pre-China Epiphone Casinos.

The only Peerless I've seen "in the flesh" is my Peerless Maestro Martin Taylor which is a superb guitar that I got from Jerry.

And I also bought my Gretsch G5622T from one of Jerry's special buys (I think he bought either 32 or 64 with half being blue with white trim and half white with blue trim & you don't see those used either!)
But I'm afraid that I'm not in the market for one like you are proposing because I have that base covered with my 1965 Hagstrom Viking I. Sorry.

I get it - we don't need every model ever. In case he can't do it, how does your G5622T compare to your Peerless?

Apples & oranges? The peerless is an acoustic jazz box with a pickup floating above the top, built to Martin Taylor's exacting specs.

The G5622T is an ES-335 style guitar with a center block, Gretsch style wiring, Gretsch pickups & a Gretsch style neck.

Oh I know. I just meant general build quality wise. I have it in my mind I might pick up a used G5622 and make my own pickup rings and support brace to swap the (yes, very differently shaped) BT-2S pickups out for P90s.

In that regard, they were each flawless when I received them. But then every guitar I've ever bought from Jerry was! I suspect he corrects any flaws when he gets them. :D
You could do worse than a used G5622T IMHO. Price vs quality they are difficult to beat methinks.
