this is from the old Ubuyguitars stock 4 or 5 years ago. I asked around here if anyone had a husk they never built.
@honyock and I worked a deal. Thanks again, Nate!
he also included pre-cut, pre-radiused frets.
I scored reclaimed minty AL-2000 Grover tuners from Rondo, the locking bridge posts and jack plate from Philadelphia Luthiers. The rest I had on hand, including pulling the used Gibson P90T pickup from my LIquid.
I had to make the cavity cover.
Came out pretty great, except for a few flubs on my end.
Plays and sounds great.

Beauty - if it sounds like it looks, it's a big win.
I forgot @honyock also included a righty wraparound bridge that were shipped with lefty Agile AD-201.
Thank you again for helping me make this happen.
Around the cavity cover I used acetone to rub off a little shielding paint. That seemed to cut through the haze.
I plan to cut that haze, maybe spring for cherry red dye for touch up, then some wipe on satin poly.
That dye is pricey though.
I will look more into the oil finish option too, thanks for reminding me of that.
This really is the P90 guitar I have been looking for the last 5 or so years. I have my BWG Santa Fe listed for sale and will probably sell my SX Liquid.
i dig the Liquid but find I most prefer smaller frets and 24-3/4" scale.
That said, I'm not against Fender style guitars.
I got an Indio cheapy tele back in July, which has small frets. That guitar just plays so well / easily for me.
Selling off my SX hawk strat too, and replacing it with a more Fendery type strat.
I need to have a strat in my arsenal, though it is not my go to.

I noticed the finish was kind of cloudy looking, but didnt realize it was never completed until I saw how easily the dye chips off.

That looks like a straight-ahead rawk machine. Well done!

Those the husks selling a few years ago from that san diego closeout online store? Wow. I still have one in a box. Now that I'm retired we will see if I actually do something with it. But I thought mine was a hb route.jtcnj wrote: ↑Thu Dec 23, 2021 1:56 pm this is from the old Ubuyguitars stock 4 or 5 years ago. I asked around here if anyone had a husk they never built.

Nice collection theme and great job on the 'red rocker'!
