Hey Gang

I'm considering a used Jay Turser JT-HAWK-12. That is a solid body electric 12 string guitar. It's not in current production, I think they stopped making it in 2014. What I'm interested in is anybody has can get me a nut measurement?

I only like playing guitars with super wide necks (1 7/8in 48mm). I have a Strat and an Agile Les Paul with those nuts. Even a 1 3/4in neck (like a lot acoustics) feels narrow to me. Now looking at the JT-Hawk 12 the neck looks pretty promising, but id anyone has one that they could measure that would be much appreciated.

I used to own one. Was the widest neck of any guitar I have ever owned. Felt like a 20 inch radius as well. Very easy twelve string to play from what I remember. Sorry I don’t have it anymore to measure for you. I remember it being a very comfortable neck. But I had very little use for a 12 string and it came with an amp

I LOVE fat and wide necks particularly on a 12. I owned (sold unfortunately) a Hawk and it was very comfortable to play and with the coil splits got a nice jangly sound. A good luthier can make a nice custom bone or graph tech nut for you.

Back in the mid 70's I worked for Dunham's Music House as a bench tech and had dibs on trade-ins before the general public I also met a lot of musicians and did a ton of trading work for instruments and in one of those trades I ended up with with a 12 string Wurlitzer and the neck was wide like you are speaking of and with the slightly increased string spacing it was very easy to play. That was the only 12 string electric I've ever had much experience with I now have a Yamaha FG820 12 that I just mic with an old Shure SM 57 (great instrument mic) I know this didn't help you one bit but I sure enjoyed thinking of an old guitar and sharing it with you guys so thanks for starting this thread by the way have you ever noticed how much most females enjoy an acoustic guitar .
