I have 2 Tokai guitars made in Japan that are amazing - 1 "Love Rock" (Les Paul) and one Breezysound (tele). But I have heard quality varies a lot based on country of origin.

What gives me pause is the decription....obviously says made in China but states Gold hardware (which I hate) where the pics clearly are chrome/nickel
If I could confirm the hardware color...I may just see this as oddball enough to bite

It certainly looks nice, but I think I’d prefer an vintage Tokai LP some day. Those seem to be hitting Gibson-esque price levels lately though just like many of the others of that era.

The website linked in the description has got some other cool guitars. Anybody ever heard of "Soloking"? (yeah, it's all one word). I don't need another Meteora-shaped guitar in my life, but this caught my attention (I'm a sucker for LPB), and there are 3 other varieties to choose from.
They also make Ormsby copies, for those who are into that...
...as well as a bunch of Teles, Strats, a couple of 335s, etc.
They carry Bacchus guitars too, which I've always heard good things about.

That music store is actually not that far from me.....its a big place with multi floors on the highway. Passed it a few times when traversing from Bangkok to our house but never stopped in. Looks like we'll have to eventually make a road trip.

I've always thought that Meteora HH would look better with some type of trapeze tailpiece. It just seems too bare down there.

There's a guy on Reverb out of Canada selling what he claims are MIC Tokais (I have serious doubts) and his own brand called Fishbone which he claims are made in the same factory. I took a couple of chances with him on both and was disappointed even after a price adjustment for build quality flaws.
