What say ye all:
Burgundy Mist -or- Vintage White Double Bound ?
Price roughly equal
Quality roughly equal
playability very similar
One of them is coming home and the Vintage White has the edge in that I have a Strat clone from same manufacturer and it rocks...the other is the house brand of a music shop here..pretty good too

Nah...I need a humbucker guitar to round out the mix after the Tele. The bugundy mist wouldn't even be in the running except I was window shopping to kill some time before a dental appointment on Friday and it just popped out at me...that is a sweet finish...somewhat metallic..pictures do not do it justice.

Put humbuckers in the other tele, problem solved

Possibility....but have to see the rout inside first....guitar shops are notoriously difficult when you start taking their dislpay guitars apart in the store

They are, and not just guitar shops.
So you buy the red one and if it has rout for humbucker, you buy the white one too, if it doesn't have a rout that will work then enjoy the red tele.

That Vintage white looks too yellow for me, I would go for the burgundy especially if it looks even better in person. But the neck feel and pup sound overrides all .
I remember you debating about a humbucker LP in a shop. You must not have gotten that yet. That looked nice as I remember.

Yeah...I was vacillating on that and after a couple days it was gone. They had a new one but the grain pattern was just different...not stunning just meh.

I love them...the Squier CVs are bound also, which is what originally piqued my interest

That's just the crappy Photo...and after all shouldn't vintage white have a tinge of yellowing to simulate aging ?

A tinge might be fine by me. But not saturated.

Whichever has the nicest grain showing. You are making this very difficult to ascertain . Tell them you'll decide after the strip and refinish both?

Unfortunately, I can't help you decide, you're on your own.

I'm leaning toward the vintage white because I think with a set of replacement vintage brass saddles...that thing would look killer...especially on my living room alcove wall.

I picked the burgundy mist finish because it is more unusual and is pretty striking. I think the vintage white would look better with a mint pick guard, but maybe that's just me. Both look fun.

The vintage white pic colors are crappy. This has a mint guard.. Not as mint green and some I've seen but the same mint I have on the Maya Strat model. I'm waiting for my health insurance rebate check (10 %) of annual premium if you don't file any claims and also renew, should be in by end of month.. Then downtown to grab the white one.
