I actually watched that one last night, Deja vu! I was wondering how one of the new Epiphone 335s would compare too.

a good player thru a good amp and outwardly the tonal differences are miniscule. it's the subjective fit and feel that make it but I seriously doubt it's worth a $4000 premium.

I was really thinking more along the lines of a comparison between the F338 and the New EPI 335. Both are of Chinese manufacture now, it would be interesting to see how well Epi has done in their QC. I've been told it's a lot better but I have been seeing B-stocks of several of the Epi's show up on ZZounds/AMS in the past couple weeks.

My Firefly cost all of $89 plus less than $20 for a new bridge which eliminated the buzz. The pickups sound fine to me and I set up the action and it plays great. Plus, it stays in tune. I love it.

You clearly have not been sniffing enough corks...next thing you'll be telling me is that a $20 bottle of wine can be as good as a $250 bottle....
