Re: My 3 Guitars That I Play the Most

Hey welcome back Nick! I actually ran across some of your YT content the other day and remembered the days when you were posting a lot of it here with reviews of Harley Benton's and Agile's and all sorts of other things. That looks like a great trio of guitars to get you lots of different sounds, I ...

Re: Happy 4th

We had a pretty low key affair around our household. 2 of 3 kids gone or working, mostly hung around and tried to stay cool as it's been so hot lately. My oldest son has recently started a full time job as a Paramedic at our local Fire Dept, and he had a 24 hour shift over the 4th. Seeing the underb...

Re: NOTD

So it has arrived - about 9 months to the date after the order date. A side benefit was that between then and now, my oldest son (who was the intended recipient ) has secured full time employment with benefits so he can pay the whole bill himself :-) June 17 is the date that 2024 order banks open up...

How, and how long would the "checking" be? 24 hours? More? First time running into this situation. If you really need to know after you cancelled the transaction, call your credit card company. They would be able to trace any account activity including a hold or pre-auth. I was in Norway ...

If we're being honest I would probably not even want that, much less need it - but the point is well taken. There are plenty of things I "needed" that are gathering dust under my bed ;-)

If you need something overnight I'd recommend calling and getting verbal confirmation, or buy local.

Re: NGD #2 from Venezuela!

This is truly an AGF moment. Congrats sabasgr68 and thanks Mossman One of the very first things I remember about this forum not long after joining: I had just purchased my first guitar in years ( AL 3000m ) and a Fender Mustang 1 amp. There was a thread going on about adding an external speaker jack...

Happy Incoming NGD. Nothing wrong with a little irrational Rondo GAS from time to time, that's kind of what helped found AGF back in the day ;-)

Re: Hi everyone. Glad to be back

Welcome back and glad you made it through the challenges - the last 2 years seem to have put us all to the test in new ways. AGF has been through the ringer as a forum several times too, yet the core survives. I think I originally joined around 2011 but one thing that has been consistent over all th...

Re: What is your end game in buying guitars?

For me the quest is almost as much fun as the acquisition. The people you meet ( including many of you here on this forum ), the guitars you find along the way, the interesting shops and places, etc. I suppose there's always that "barn find" dream of uncovering something ultra unique or ra...

Re: Car broker?

Subaru Forester Wilderness. They'll be tough to find. Yes, likely so - but a very cool car indeed. Last fall we needed a third vehicle and were looking for something relatively inexpensive, but used cars were ridiculously overpriced. What we ended up with was a Mazda CX30 - smaller than an outback ...

Best of luck for a mild case and quick recovery. Around here it has literally become "endemic" - even the hospitals have expired all of their masking/safety requirements.

Re: Car broker?

@uwmcscott - Trying that right now. Good luck. I've purchased 2 vehicles over the last year, the first one was last fall when prices were completely out of whack and inventory was still short. It's amazing how quickly things changed from then to now. The prices are still out of whack, but at least ...

Re: Car broker?

Are you looking to sell or buy? Buy. Depending on what you are looking for, it is swinging back to a buyers market in some segments so I’m not sure a broker is needed. Almost all dealers of size have staff dedicated purely to Internet/online sales so you can get multiple quotes over the web. Most m...

I saw some of those the other day too but I think that BAT2M must have just been listed. For under $100 bucks with a solid top how bad could it be? I haven't ordered anything from rondo in years but this is very tempting.

How long will you be here? I have been to Fernandina Beach many times. You are close to Georgia, I think the only other between there and the state line is the rest stop or Agriculture inspection station. I'd be more than willing to come up that way for a visit on one of your trips. I have plenty o...

Oh my, that might as well be Georgia.......St. Augustine is a very cool town, but I haven't been there for probably 20 years. Jekyl Island is cool if you head the other way, but that is about 70 miles. @RiverDog lives up there, he will probably be of more help than I am. Yep, the temporary office I...

For the AGF florida crew: I've been travelling down here to your neck of the woods on a monthly basis now for work and back again this week in Fernandina Beach ( way up north! ). I have been trying to find local places that might offer some good music or maybe even a good guitar shop to check out bu...

Re: The Great Mossman Gear Sell-Off!

It has come to my attention that some of you took my earlier reference to "blasting off this God-forsaken planet" to imply that I'm dying. I assure you I am not. I often refer to California as an alien world, and my van as a space ship. My comment was purely metaphorical. I apologize if I...

Re: Anyone heard from TJ???

Thanks for the concern, the guitars are all still hanging on the walls or in their floor racks and not dispersed over a few square miles around my place. The tornadoes were about five miles away, nothing much happened around me except for some gusty rain. The power never even flickered... That's on...
