Re: NGD! The Kramer has arrived!
I never even considered that color until seeing how it looks in your pics. Looks so great with the zebra humbucker too. I say definitely slap a Floyd on there. It's what that guitar was made for. I wish they had a second-level Baretta with a Floyd Special for a medium price. The Baretta Vintage is ...

NGD! The Kramer has arrived!
https://i.gifer.com/3eq3.gif So, I saw that Long and Mcquade, duuring ROCKTOBER had reuced the price of the Kramer Baretta Special to $259 plus HST. I had a $100 gift card. Seems obvious, no? 20231016_142119.jpg Came with lots of nice little things (I bought the strings and the nut). 20231016_14232...

Re: KRAMER PACER CLASSIC
Now that you mention it, I had noticed the Kramer Pacer and Satch signature Ibby similarity too. Also, has anybody else noticed that Joe is the guy with the least amount of hair on his head, that had the most amount of hair on his arms? Not sure what that means, but damn, the guy can sure play guit...

Bird inlays. Unless its a PRS in the sense of "Peoples Republic of Shina," it's a PRS Santana.tonebender wrote: ↑Tue Oct 10, 2023 5:51 pm The body looks like a PRS but I could get a good look at the headstock but what I could see seemed different than a PRS.

Re: HOLY GRAIL VAN HALEN LIVE VIDEO, LEISCESTERSHIRE, AUG 1984
And I would love it if there was pro-shot Vai/Sheehan-era DLR stuff to be had. Yes, you get it too! In this August, 1984 video Dave is already coming into being as the Crazy From the Heat EP Dave, the legendary Eat Em' and Smile era solo Dave. There's a moment before Dave takes the stage in front o...

Re: HOLY GRAIL VAN HALEN LIVE VIDEO, LEISCESTERSHIRE, AUG 1984
Yep -- cool new footage seems to be appearing a lot. And it makes me happy to see them young and full of vim and vigour (and coke and Schlitz), playing so well. It makes me wonder what other pro-shot material is out there. I still want the Oakland show (Fair Warning tour) to be fully restored and re...

Re: New "toy" from Fender: Tone Master pro
I am seeing a trend where modeling, SS and digital stuff is starting to exceed pricing for tube amps. I watched the video and concluded that I am a dinosaur. Have you seen the prices of good tube amps lately? This device can replace multiple tube amps and an entire pedal board worth of effects, plu...

Re: KRAMER PACER CLASSIC
I'm usually skeptical right up front with humbuckers that that don't have adjustable poles, such as these, but these pickups are not bad at all. The bridge is something like 8.9 K resistance and the neck is a little less at around 8.5 K, so definitely PAFish territory. @mozz recently sent me some r...

HNGD! Playable, decent sounding pickups and a budget Floyd that stays in tune? WIN!! Re: Whats on your work bench?
I have had a Douglas Scope 725 for years now, and I always wanted to put a brass block on the trem. It doesn't work with a Floyd-spec block -- the screw spacing is too wide. Then I saw one of these on AliExpress, and got to wondering whether the screw holes for this would line up. 37.5MM Ultra Solid...

After reading the esteemed toomanycats ' thread about "She's Tight" I thought about the song I have been obsessed with of late, which effing rocks : https://youtu.be/zuNNo_xAdzc?si=BMEpX3D9dbnOOW91 I know it wasn't their most popular album, but this song is a banger no matter how you slice...

Re: KRAMER PACER CLASSIC
But I've gotta be honest, when it comes to this Kramer Pacer, it is mostly about the past for me, about possessing a fetish object that emotionally connects me to the year 1982, and mostly about this man who has now ascended to demigod status . . . 2bf46e7104d524819fad4334995550f8.jpg 1980-Eddie-pu...

Re: I HAD FORGOTTEN ABOUT THIS CHEAP TRICK SONG FOR 40 YEARS
I dig Cheap Trick. Once I was reading an edition of CREEM: Metal Rock & Roll, and they gave the date of Judas Priest's debut as the day metal fashion died. They followed it later on with the date Cheap Trick debuted saying "Cheap Trick proves that bombastic music can be played in the sillie...

The Washburn Kelly Keagy: "I have no idea why I'm endorsing this!" I wanted one of the pointy Washburn HMs pretty badly in the 80s. I nearly bought a Washburn when I was 16, but the Ibanez was better and cheaper. Don't discount the "cheaper" being a big portion of why it won out....

Re: New "toy" from Fender: Tone Master pro
I have watched a video on this one. The interface looks like the best I've seen -- dead simple and intuitive. It has a lot of processing power too. But for the price, it only has 27 amps at the moment, mostly Fender brands, and no bass amps or cabs. Now there are a ton of effects, but too many for a...

Re: Vanden-back!
I always thought he got the short end of the stick. He gets the Whitesnake gig, then his hand swells up, and he has to contend with being relegated to a but of an also-ran with Steve Vai coming in as the conquering hero. Then Coverdale disbands Whitesnake.

One day at work, I was working on a project regarding a company, and our team talked about it.
The same say, ads for their product started showing on my teammate's computer.

"Listen to me now, and believe me later..." Vandys are in the "I wish I had money when Nirvana hit" category of guitars. Like the $800 Jem 777DY I had to pass up because I was a broke student. A friend in high school played one when shopping for an amp. The salesman said "ca...
