Re: Car Transport - Sabas *Updated*

I bought a used car that needed to be driven to the dealership site near me. Someone drove it for a three hours to get to my area...I imagine they drove something else back , or had a shadow car with second driver to return in.
I hope you find customers in need Sabas. Best wishes to you.

Re: Whats your' latest gear acquisition?

just bought 2 "Greer Amps" pedal models. The Lightspeed is a very popular pedal for light boost. I'd never heard of it til my brother recommended it. Now I see all the good reviews, etc. Folks rave about it's transparent tone and sensitive feel. I agree, but need more time, play more guita...

I dont think the Rolling Stones got country awards for Far Away Eyes, or even for their more serious country twangers like Dead Flowers.

Maybe flatulence powered is the future. Little pinwheels AND bunsen burners in everyone's britches.

Re: Do I need to see a Doctor ?

Thats a great version. I didnt know they covered that. My first intro to that tune was Harvey Mandel off his first album. He came from a John Mayall background like so many greats. Harvey was one of the guitarists that the Stones tried out after Mick Taylor left. The Stones used their Black and Blue...

Re: Did You Ever Play A Song Wrong?

If you could play a song wrong, jazz couldn't exit! After all, jazz is nothing but intentionally playing a song wrong! :D I believe Miles Davis said if you're playing live and you hit a wrong note, just make sure you play that same wrong note again and it becomes your interpretation rather than you...

Re: Did You Ever Play A Song Wrong?

Many times have I found corrections to songs I've played for years. Its often slight. Sometimes glaring. I'm often suggesting to jam buddies songs I learned decades ago, before internet, and when it gets down to nitty gritty its easy to be off, especially with arrangement. How many verses before cho...

Im sort of all built up right now, what with my recent Nashville tuning strat, my Sitar strat, and my H/p90/H strat.
I think I'm leaning more towards an unnecessary pickup buying spree.

Re: Gibson Falcon 5 What !

It seems to me, why get the 5w when the 20 (15w) is only about 300$ more? 1400$ vs 1700$. The 12" sounds much better to my ears.
Mine sounds great on 4, even 3. Past 8 it doesnt get much louder. With a boostier it does.

Re: Gibson Falcon 5 What !

I think that newest clean video of the 12" does a good job of hitting the general tone of mine.
The reverb and trem are very nice sounding. I dont play with that much OD he had going for a while, so cant speak to that use of it.

mine.

Re: Gibson Falcon 5 What !

old Gibson Falcon GA 19rvt's can be had for 650$- 900$ and higher, on reverb. You just need to make sure the orange/red tonesucking sprague circuit gizmo is cut out of line. Theres videos on removing them. They were added by Gibson as some designers thought country music twang would dominate the mar...

Re: Gibson Falcon 5 What !

I have a 63 Falcon that I use a lot. I was surprised to read an ad for these new ones that described the historic tone, etc, and then went on to describe the new tube configuration. Instead of " the original GA-19RVT’s somewhat unusual tube configuration, this forward-thinking Falcon comes equi...
