Re: New Toy en-route!!! :D
I seriously doubt that I'll be around in 2030. I was in hospital in January 2023 and they told me I'd never see 2024 & moved me to Hospice care. I was on Hospice until Jan 2024 & they told me I was too healthy for Hospice. Glad to hear you left hospice. Not many people can say they have don...

Re: RIP Toby Keith
He played a show at my college in the late 90's. Small town, Population 15k. It was a great concert, my Father-in-law was providing security via the local police force. Said he was a good guy, but Toby was the one that should've been providing security for the local police force lol. He was a big du...

Re: Does anyone have any experience using Facebook to sell locally?
I have been using Facebook marketplace quite a bit, with pretty good success. Mostly furniture, but usually everything sells within 24 hours. Do the research on the facebook profiles, as the first 5-10 contacts are usually scammers. When I do get a real one, they show up on time and there isn't any ...

Re: Anyone remember Jim?
I wish I could think of this one member... was kind of surly. I still can remember that av. When I joined his av was himself with short hair. Toward the end itd grown out, but both images were him screaming into a mic in his bands. Yeah I remember him. He was a pompous dick. Smartest guy in every r...

For the AGF florida crew: I've been travelling down here to your neck of the woods on a monthly basis now for work and back again this week in Fernandina Beach ( way up north! ). I have been trying to find local places that might offer some good music or maybe even a good guitar shop to check out b...

Re: Just got hired as a bass player
I think part of the reason I quit playing all together is I would stress myself out trying to learn songs EXACTLY how they are played. Now that I have had a year or so off I have realized that nobody really gives 2 poops if you can play the song note for note. Especially on bass. You can fake it and...

Re: Scanning?
Anyone have a great way to scan a pick guard to create a very accurate 3D model? Yes, I am considering CNC'ing a few. My flatbed scanners impart shadowy wierdness scanning black pick guards so I can't trust the lines they capture. I had better luck tracing the pickguard and then scanning the trace,...

Re: Painting Humbuckers Chrome....Help/Advise
So If you use this on pickups, you need the black backer, chrome paint...and what about the clear coat? I have heard mixed reviews on this. Do you think it will hold up? Thanks. as long as nothing comes in contact with it. Clearcoat won't work. You can literally rub it off with your fingers. Wonder...

Re: Painting Humbuckers Chrome....Help/Advise
I think you're onto something there. I was considering having to get into airbrushing before you mentioned this. Well worth a try for my control plate. If you can do a clear control cover you can back-paint it with this. https://spazstix.com/collections/ultimate-mirror-chrome I have used it before ...
