Re: If you think guitars are overpriced, look at saxophones...
Yeah man, Our 12 year old just started playing Alto sax in the school band. I don't know if all middle schools are like this, but they take it crazy serious and "Advised" us on what saxophone to get (It was a Yamaha) along with a HUGE list of Saxophones and accessories NOT to buy. The Sax ...

Re: AGF Evolution?
I had an accident that left me with limited use of my left hand so I can't really play anymore. I still have my guitars but they don't see much action beyond a few minutes of frustrating noodling before it gets put away. I switched to motorcycles a while back. At least I can still fo that well. I st...

The full name goes to momo. Not sure what happens when you get there since it requires a sign up.

I've gotten intoin a lots of different things since I hurt my hand a few years ago. Can't really play anymore so I've had to focus on other stuffed to keep from going too stir crazy.
Still love you guys... Just don't have a lot to offer since I'm more or less on the sidelines.

Hulu is ad free, you just have to pay a little extra: image.png My wife likes to catch up on some TV shows. We don't have cable so... there ya go. I also have netflix, Prime and Disney. image.png image.png All in about $40/mo. No ads, no BS. I literally can't stand to watch Cable TV anymore because ...

Re: Where is everyone ?
This big hit to us is we had this huge history of interesting details and anyone searching google would come here. After a few hits or if wanting more details they would sign up. Thats gone now. And we sure don't generate content like we used to. They may sign up at momo but then hit the dead zone ...

I'm here as well. Don't play much anymore due to a hand injury in September 2019. I pop in now and again, but not like I used to. Someone mentioned how this forum has managed to stay together after years of being battered by ownership handoffs, domain name changes and so on. I've been a part of thes...

Ah one other thing... I need new knobs. What size do I need though? If my fuzzy memory serves me the Les Paul knobs don't fit.

Re: DLX800 restoration
Good luck with the Resto. I have zero advice to offer beyond Have Fun! Wouldn't have it any other way. Pics along the way? Sure. Not much to see right now. It's the body and it is strung up to make sure the neck would hold. I stripped the truss rod back in like 2006. Shockingly the neck hasn't budg...

DLX800 restoration
Hey guys, a little over a year ago I started looking at my old Agile DLX800 and thought it would be fun to bring it back to life. The truss rod in it is stripped, but it has magically held it's straightness. Point being I don't want to sink a lot of money into it since there is no telling what might...

Re: Used car shopping gets you down....
I just bought a car on Wednesday. Back in 2017 I wanted to get a current bodied mustang (2015+) but the cash it was going to take at the time was more than I wanted to spend. After talking to a good buddy (He has uncanny luck with cars) I found a 2013 GT premium that was in fantastic condition and L...

Re: What is the dumbest, most asinine theory/belief you personally hold about guitars in general?
That Gibsons are the most overrated guitars on the planet. Not any more they're not. :D A neck-thru guitar has better sustain than a bolt-on. Thought that was the case. I was wrong. How the hell is that not obviously true? Sometimes I think it may be the inverse. It actually is. There have been man...

I'm no officianado but I do enjoy Bulleit from time to time and when I'm feeling snarky an 18 year glenfiddich. The latter is a rare occasion of course.
As a "daily drinker" (I'm not one but if I were...) Jameson black barrel is nice and Jim beam certainly goes down smooth enough.

Re: What Else Do You Do?
For me I'm into guns and motorcycles. My collections aren't huge but I love to ride and I love to shoot. There is something about ringing a gong 150 yards away that is just plain fun. I'm not particularly great at either but I enjoy the hell out of them none the less. I've got a 2002 VFR, a 2013 Vi...

Glad to hear the missus is OK Red. You are lucky with your business. We suffered terrible losses. Heck, we're in the student travel business. How could we not. 600 people were furloughed. It's been tough.

Re: What Else Do You Do?
I'm not much of a hunter (Total respect for those that can) I just like to target shoot with friends. It's fun to compete for number of hits, closest to mark, I also love doing timed blind mag drops where a random number of rounds are placed in three mags. Your score is based on the length of time i...
