Re: Sam Ash To Shutdown Remaining Stores
I got my Heritage from a Sam Ash. Sad day. I haven't looked at a new guitar in so long I might have noticed the complete lack of left handed guitars on there site sooner and would have assumed they were prepping to close down... The closest store was near Glendale so I would stop there whenever we w...

Masters of the Air, worked as a docent at the 390th BG museum (B17s) that were on every mission with the 100th.
One of the docents I volunteered with flew 28 missions as an early replacement. Was interesting to see how they portrayed the 100th vs. the thoughts of someone who flew missions with them.

Some of my favorite people to work with are joining me as well. AI helped me write a post that I can finally share my feelings. farewell greetings going out strong towards dreadful former employer known as Carclo whose rapid descent down bankruptcy lane should be no surprise given how fervently even...

Re: And so it ends
The company finally decided that I was important enough to try to retain, the day after I put in my resignation. My old boss reached out to ask me personally before I was presented with the offer, in part to talk about our dearly departed friend. I thanked him for thinking of me, but my decision was...

Re: And so it ends
Just got an offer, oddly accurate match to my last sentence of the original post. A bright spot in an otherwise sad week. My mentor/colleague that taught me so much about manufacturing & injection molding passed away Monday evening. Accepted the offer. No drop-off in salary or vacation after the...

Amazon Music or Spotify in my Bronco. Used to only do Amazon, but they ruined the ability to play downloaded stuff.

Re: And so it ends
I do appreciate the wisdom as this is a new process for me, I have basically walked from job to job with a good reference or being recruited since I left college 11 years ago. And you likely will continue that trend - you would not have been recruited and/or have good references for no reason. Whil...

So far, my lay back and wait method of job hunting is yielding to some interesting leads, haven't yet gotten face to face, but I am OK with moving slow for now, I still have a job and the company hasn't presented any sort of incentive package to stay so I am OK to ride it out and I don't want to li...

Wow. Sorry to hear that. I remember you talking about tbe decision to come back. So what ended up killing the company? The company line is "the decision represents the culmination of its US restructuring efforts, through which it is attempting to optimise its "operational footprint"&...

seems to be a very good time to be looking for manufacturing engineer, project manager, etc. work. Kind of excited to start the hunt and get back out of operations/management back into engineering fun stuff. I am sick of dealing with people who can't bother to show up to work or schedule their appoi...

I am sorry to hear that. Let us know what line of work you are interested and if you would consider moving for opportunity. Perhaps someone here could drop you a lead. right now I am not looking to move. My wife is a director at an accounting firm here, so we are pretty invested in staying in Tucso...

Just found out today they are closing our facility.
My pride led me to return to a place that was unfixable.
Now ~100 people will be out of work in ~6 months from now.
Maybe I can find a new career, lots of defense contractors in town...

That is a good price, I paid $400 for mine back in 2015 from Musicians's Friend.

I have seen those under the brand name Cozart I think. Didn't Agile use to make a single P90 guitar? I like the PRS version of a LP Jr too. My Juniors (LP & SG) see a lot of play. That is what it was, I couldn't rememeber I think I got it 8 years ago and it has maybe been sitting torn apart for...

Just finished messing around with this -replaced p90 with mini hum -replaced fake garbage Badass style bridge with the trapeze and I think an Ibanez style bridge -refinished headstock with "open book" that I eyeballed -new tuners -new nut -back refinished in a lighter mahogany matte poly s...

Re: Electric Vehicles
The batteries in EVs are like the cartridges in a home printer. When you need new ink cartridges it is cheaper to buy a new printer. if the manufacturers actually cared about EVs being properly renewable, they would make the batteries easily replaceable (the whole point the the "skateboard&quo...

Re: Electric Vehicles
they should tax them based upon the weight of the vehicle and the miles driven
a Hummer EV (9,000lbs...really???) or Tesla Cyber Truck (~6,900lbs) that weighs far more than my 1 ton truck (5500lbs with me in the cab) should have to pay more per mile since I pay more per mile for the gas I use

Re: What song are you obsessed with right now?
I've been thinking a lot about "I Want to Stroll Over Heaven with You" as recorded by Alan Jackson.
They played that song at my both of grandparents funerals amd the 1st time it was a sad song when my grandpa passed, but when my grandma passed the e.otions I felt were completely a 180.
