Re: What is the SX of firearms?
The Taurus G2C comes to mind. I shot one a few months ago and it has good capacity, a manual safety and I think they are about $200 ish? For carry it’s a good size too but it kicked a lot more than my SigP365 which is a hefty little package. I think having a gun you feel comfortable with and can sho...

Re: Telecaster neck replacement question
Thanks for all the info so far guy. Who would have thought a piece ( or 2 pieces ) of wood could be so complicated ;-) In regards to warmoth's processes specifically, i notice each neck is shown without frets installed. I am guessing that you place your order with your nut and fret selections and th...

Re: Agile with Fishman Fluence Pups...
Did anyone also notice that the pictures are of two different guitars? Which one do I get? Yep, just posted above along the same lines. The product description is for a 3100 ("one piece mahogany set neck"). The listing title shows 3100MCC as well. However, the URL for the product show 320...

So it also appears that all the stock photos are actually of a 3200 while it’s listed as a 3100. Check the back photos.

Re: NGD: Green 1978 Gibson Les Paul Standard (well, kind of)
That’s a very cool story and guitar to boot, having the lineage to go along with it is a big plus. And you never know on the collector value in the long run. They only made so many every year, right?
And if it plays good, looks good and feel good, who cares about collector value anyway, right?

You don’t see these often anymore. Decent price for a 3110 from that era too if you are into the style.

Telecaster neck replacement question
My one and only telecaster is a Fender American Special, which is not made anymore but was kind of the entry point into the american series. Overall I really like it, the look and feel and electronics/hardware all works just as it should. The one thing that i'm not 100% sold on is the neck. It's act...

Re: Is the holiday Friday or Monday?
Where I currently work ( which will only be until July 31 ) they give us a "floating" holiday when one of the official holidays falls on a Saturday or Sunday. You can then take 8 hours of PTO on another day of your choosing. In previous careers (Retail and Hospitality) there was no such th...

Father also worked for Trane here in PA. for 30 years or so until they moved out. Scranton by chance? My dad had a chance to transfer there but did not want to move, in hindsight is was good for him as they closed that shop down. I grew up in La Crosse, WI which is the HQ and birthplace of Trane.

Re: fail horn...A/C is dead
Here in northern wisco we get it all, from -20F stretches in the winter to high humidity/high 90's in the summer occasionally. I grew up in the 70's and AC was not nearly as common up here. My dad even worked for the Trane heating/AC company and we did not have air in our house until i was older, my...

Re: AL-3500 zebrawood at GC
Yep I would beware of this one because of the "fair" rating as @mighty_duck mentioned above...usually that rating is reserved for guitars with pretty legit issues (neck repair, very large dings, etc). From what I can see of the picture it might just be rated that way because the backs of ...

I was checking these out on Sweetwater today and they are out of stock there too, but i have to say that Epi has some pretty cool offerings this year, and I like the new headstock too. This yellow special is nice, so is the junior in the same category. The “modern” SG in green is pretty killer looki...

Re: AL-3500 zebrawood at GC
Man that is a beauty. Are you gonna grab it! The one thing that holds me back on all all of the older Al 3XXX guitars is the 1 5/8 nut. I know it's kind of silly but I prefer the 1 11/16 or wide 1 3/4 nut on the later ones. I don't currenly own any agiles ( or any Rondo guitars for that matter ) bu...

I saw that the other day. My initial thought was who has 2" thick shelves made of solid sapele just sitting around their house? The shaping of the top is something I would certainly lose my mind on somewhere along the way.

Here’s one you don’t see often. 3500 series was basically a 3xxx spec but with a full thickness cap ( no veneer ) for those unfamiliar. And they had a run with zebrawood instead of maple https://www.guitarcenter.com/Used/Agile/3500-Solid-Body-Electric-Guitar.gc Here’s the rondo spec https://www.rond...

Re: NGD AL 3200MCC
It's mine, and while it wasn't a big seller, for folks like me who rarely if ever go above the 12th fret, it's really nice! Oh yeah, it has a volute too! They called it an AL3000 Neck Thru. I think Kurt did a small run of 2 or 4, and after they took so long to sell, never did it again. But I'm sure...
