NUAGD - Martin D15m

It has been a long time since I bought any gear, and I've also been somewhat vacant from AGF due to work, kids going to college, travel, etc. Having said that, we moved my daughter off to college last weekend, and she just so happens to be going to school at the university in my hometown alma mater....

Re: NGD - 2024 Harley Benton Modern Plus (Flamey AF)

Damn that has some ridiculous flame. I can remember days of trolling through the Warmoth guitar neck online catalog drooling over necks that looked like that - but at probably 5 times the price just for the neck.

Sounds about right...I think it was something like that...I don't think he ever made it to this new site
I am pretty sure it was Joe Faraldi. He was ( is ) a super nice guy, and I believe the guitar I sold him was for his son.

I remember Jofa, I sold him an AD201 many years ago here via the gear trade thread. His youtube channel looks like it still has some activity in the last year.

Re: Cooling off

That looks like a great place to be. Our version of that is the lakes and rivers up in the northern part of the state, but we are also subject to the influx of tourism and all that comes along with it. It's always been expensive to have a place on a lake, but prices have literally doubled, sometimes...

That's a sweet looking ride, may it stay in tune and play well for many years to come. I don't know how you guys live in that heat/humidity...sounds brutal. I am going to guess that there may be some laminate in that price range from guild, which is probably a good thing to hold up to all those craz...

Re: Is Firefly sold by Firebird Music on Amazon?

Way back at the beginning of Firefly they were selling exclusively via Amazon - which was a good thing because every one that I bought back then needed to be sent back. I have been out of the loop on them for a long time but apparently the quality has improved and their official site ( guitarsgarden...

That looks like a lot of food for one night ;-) Excellent photos though and all the food/drink looks exotic and fantastic. I am heading back to Norway later this week for work but also taking the whole family with for a vacation. Over there, 80F is reason enough to shut down the country for the day,...

My first ride was a 77 impala wagon with the backwards facing third row seat and 350/4bbl. It was as much a camper as it was a car.

HNGD!. The top almost qualifies as a quilt top maybe? , nice color too. I will freely admit that Firefly sort of fell off my radar, good to see they are still cranking out some good deals.

Rondo has never been known for creative marketing or naming really.... Hadean, Douglas to name a few. The "Bat1" ( Firefly copyright infringement anyone? ) seems like a pretty solid ( pun intended ) spec for $199- Solid top, ebony board, maple binding, lam neck....https://www.rondomusic.c...

I have been on both sides of the fence several times in the past few years, and the advice I would give now is far different than what I would have said even 5 years ago 1. With the massive proliferation of AI in the recruiting process, most people get weeded out before a human would ever see a resu...

Maple Neck/freboard was fairly common back in the day in the 2xxx line. That exact guitar in the OP https://www.rondomusic.com/product9764.html

Looking good, I love the grain/color variation on the top. I understand most people prefer a well matched/consistent top and that's why all the a-stock guitars get them...but I'd much rather have something with personality like that.

This is a bummer but not really surprising TBH - not many big retailers left out there in any industry. They were definitely one of the better ones to deal with though, and they also had a pretty decent ( and not as well known ) used selection.

I play unplugged almost exclusively, and the guitars I keep out all the time are mostly acoustics. But when I have to be quiet I will play one of my electrics either via headphones or sometimes just the guitar. And of the electrics I have, the strat is definitely the loudest acoustically. Mine is no...
