I've made arrangements with a local music shop specializing in guitars and with a big online presence to take care ...

Re: Tons of Lefty Agile/SX at MGR!

OK, I called the store, and they will adjust the shipping charge to $65 which is about right for that distance. The manager didn't know how to override the system so the person responsible for internet sales will call me back. Also, nobody died, the previous owner traded them in and bought a couple ...

Re: Tons of Lefty Agile/SX at MGR!

There are plenty of posts about Gibson gold tops turning green, some seem to like it, some don't. Gibson apparently purposely did it on some of their reissues. I read that it's from the bronze in the paint oxidizing...

You should check out Thomann's site, they've got quite a selection over several price points:

Re: Tons of Lefty Agile/SX at MGR!

Gold top turns greeny. I'm afraid to take mine out of the case because if it looks as bad as that I'll be firing up the belt sander. I think (and hope) it's just a case of a cell phone camera not being able to capture true colors, especially under fluorescent light. It's most likely the light and c...

Re: Tons of Lefty Agile/SX at MGR!

Thanks for the heads-up, a solid body Agile Tele is on my bucket list. I'm going to call the store tomorrow and see if they can give me a better shipping rate. They're just outside of Atlanta, and shipping from there to South FL shouldn't cost $106. I did not see any of those when I checked the MGR ...

Re: Help With Mounting Amp Chassis.

Upon further reflection and assuming that the broken one you're talking about is on the right-side flange, then one of those nut/clip combos like the one that Partscaster linked to should solve the problem. I'd be proactive and replace the one that's still good as well, because you know how the univ...

Sold a few things on FB marketplace. The upside is IMHO, it is safer than CL. You'll still get the Zelle scammers, but you can report them. The downside is, not everything sells and, in my experience, it has been slow. So be patient. The only issue I had with CL in the past is that what should have...

Does anyone have any experience using Facebook to sell locally?

I've got a handful of dupes I'd like to sell but the price I'd be asking hardly justifies what it would cost to ship them. I used the local Craigslist a number of years ago to sell a few dupes and had no problems but was wondering if anyone here has used the various Facebook guitar and gear groups t...

Re: Here’s weird …

I get that 'muscle memory' confusion when I play some PRS guitars that have 4 knobs, but are not oriented like a Gibson. Instead of being Neck Volume-Tone on tope and Bridge Volume-Tone on bottom, they are like Bridge Volume - Neck Volume on top and Bridge Tone- Neck Tone on the bottom. Very confus...

I had a 3200 back in the day before I discontinued doing business with Rondo. It was a heavy rascal. Yeah, ALs were known to be on the heavy side in the early days - or so they said in the forum back in the day -. Newer models are a little bit thinner and lighter, but I don´t know if there´s a noti...

It played like a dream out of the box and I'm fine with the stock pickups. I love the 24 frets and edge mounted jack. This easily compare...

Re: PSA: Interesting Agile triple pickup AL/LP - $300 at GC

It could be a nice find for $100, but not much more than that post butchering. Upon further review, it definitely isn't worth the listing price. Whether it's worth only $100, I don't know. It would have to be physically inspected before that could be determined. I really like that finish, though...

Ya gotta wonder what the momo guys thought once the dust had settled. Does that site still exist? Technically, yes. However, it's almost impossible to navigate, and the last post was 5/3/2021. Also, you have to go directly though the MOMO site, the redirect from the old site no longer works...
