3D Printed Guitars/Parts
Sort of a crazy question here but I am curious if any you ever made, owned, or played a 3D printed electric guitar. I know very little about 3D printing. I have seen some pictures on the internet of a few that look to be made out of plastic or some composite material. Some look pretty creative but I...

Re: SX HAWK MN ASH H NA Semi Hollow Body Guitar
The SX Tele I have has a good bit of the Ash wood grain. The thinline strat does not seem to have as much but much of the woodwork is covered with the plastic pick guard. The necks feel almost identical with little grain which is probably typical of most maple. I just like the look of natural woods ...

Re: SX HAWK MN ASH H NA Semi Hollow Body Guitar
I can't remember which guitar, but I've had a flakey tuner on a new guitar, contacted the company, and they sent out a replacement tuner. They're not hard to swap out when they're the same as original equipment. I'd email rondo to ask about just a replacement tuner and see what they can do. Thank y...

Re: SX HAWK MN ASH H NA Semi Hollow Body Guitar
Question- I have played the guitar for several days now and like it. I have noticed an issue with the tuner on the A string. It feels tight when you turn the peg or that is the best way that I can describe it and has a different feel than all of the other tuners, It works and seems to stay in tune p...

Re: SX HAWK MN ASH H NA Semi Hollow Body Guitar
My guitar came in last week and I had not really had time to fully run over it and review until today. Rondo shipped promptly and included a nice gig bag. The guitar arrived with no obvious flaws. I hear some fret rattle on the low E and A strings. Not really surprised with that and once the guitar ...

Re: SX HAWK MN ASH H NA Semi Hollow Body Guitar
The Eric Johnson was the one that I read about. I will have some fun with this one I think regardless. My cat is 17 years old and has some arthritis and kidney disease but he still eats pretty well and gets around most of the time. He is pretty much a pacifist indoor cat. He usually just yells at me...

Re: What is your end game in buying guitars?
Great question. I ordered a guitar from Rondo earlier this week. I told my wife I was going to buy a guitar. Her question was if I needed it. I said no but I wanted it. Once she found out the price she could care less. I guess I am like many of you that like the different shapes and sounds from the ...

Re: SX HAWK MN ASH H NA Semi Hollow Body Guitar
I like my alder SX thinline body very much. Its seen some varying setups, this is the most recent and my favorite. IMG_0066 2.jpg Cool looking guitar and cat. The cat looks proud. In reading around online, it seems a lot of people think the F hole strats sound similar to a regular strat except for ...

Re: SX HAWK MN ASH H NA Semi Hollow Body Guitar
I am not sure what the name of mine is. On the headstock it just has the SX logo and VTG Series. It was whatever they were selling about a year ago in the SX ash Tele. It has a belly cut and some wood shaved off the tail of the guitar and is comfortable to play. No need to apologize about photos. I ...

Re: SX HAWK MN ASH H NA Semi Hollow Body Guitar
My Eastman guitar is a thinline style guitar and looks very similar to the Gibson 335 but has a maple neck and body with an ebony fretboard. It has a really nice clean sound with a little reverb and probably the best overall guitar that I own. Pickups, wiring, scale length, etc. are all different on...

SX HAWK MN ASH H NA Semi Hollow Body Guitar
I just ordered one of these and need another guitar about like I need another hole in my head. I bought an ash Tele about a year ago and love it other than the huge fret wires. I figure it will show up in a few days and will let you know what I think of it. I have never owned a strat so this will be...

Re: Finding people to play with?
How do you guys find people to play with who have similar interests? How do you find people to play with if you don't already know them? It seems like finding someone with close-enough musical tastes, close-enough musical talent and close-enough musical goals is nigh impossible just throwing a net ...

Re: EVH FRANKIE RELIC (INCOMING)
An update on the EVH Frankie relic: Yesterday afternoon I get an email from Guitar Center informing me that the guitar has arrived at my local store and is ready for pickup. I had a client at my house for a recording session in the mid afternoon, and I purposefully cut our session short to give me ...
Re: SX Strats
https://www.rondomusic.com/SX_Hawk_MN_Ash_H.html I would. I have a 335 Eastman copy so was looking for a solid body but if there is little difference with the f hole then that would work as well. I really do not not know how the strat f hole and and solid body are different. You just about have to ...

Re: SX Strats
I got an email from Rondo today about new SX guitars that are incoming and was hoping for an Ash body with a Maple neck similar to the Telecaster I bought a few months ago. They are offering one in Ash but it is blue and I would like to have the clear or very lightly stained wood similar to what is...
Re: SX Strats
Was sort of my thinking. The tele does not have a cheap feel to it and it seems to pair well with my little amp.peskypesky wrote: ↑Wed Oct 05, 2022 6:16 pm I have two SX strats and love them both. I put them just about at the Squier Classic Vibe level, for a lot less money.

Re: Modulation
With Me and Bobby Mcgee, I think that is probably the case. I sort of thought that in the Stewart/Beck song that it was done to maybe accent Stewart's voice? With that said, I think either tune will still sound fine just leaving it in the same key. With some songs, you can get into some hard chords ...

Also on that bench was my new Blackstar Debut 10 SS amp and I hadn't taken the time to introduce him. I wanted a small amp on my bench I moved my work area to the bedroom got a 48" folding table. I settled on the Blackstar Debut 10 and man did it surprise me especially with it just has 2 3&quo...

Modulation
When songs modulate, what do you base that on? A couple of songs that I can think of are Me and Bobby Mcgee and People Get Ready at least in the Jeff Beck and Rod Stewart version. You seem to be able to hear it all the time in music. With the examples that I cite, I think both move one step up and y...
