Re: The Squier Army
No Squiers at this time, but I had a Standard Strat for a while that was really nice - two-point tremolo and everything. Those aren't that easy to find; I have a feeling FMIC intentionally pushes the more low-end Squiers so as not to compete with lower-end Fenders. Also had a VM Jaguar bass for a wh...

Re: Swapping Magnets
I just tried it for the first time a little while back myself. It's really not too difficult - honestly the hardest part was that the pickup was heavily wax-potted and I had to get a ton of wax out before the old magnet would move. Was I happy with the result? Yes, but something to keep in mind is t...

Re: Sale feeler: LP-2500 in blue quilt
If the only criteria for selling a guitar is not getting played, I'd have at least 200 for sale. Gorgeous guitar though. I 've got a lefty of one of those in CSBF, build quality is as good as any other Agile from then to the present... If I had 200 guitars, I would be homeless. Not because of the m...

Re: Sale feeler: LP-2500 in blue quilt
That finish is stunning. Any idea what the neck profile is? I’ve played a few from that era... some were slimmer necks, some were thicker I don't think I'm a very good judge of neck profiles, to be honest... I would have called it about average; it's a bit flatter on the back than some, so I guess ...

Re: Current band obsession: Flying Colors
That's a weird coincidence - I just heard of them a few days ago and started listening a bit. They're a little proggy for my usual taste, but there's some excellent musicianship on display there.

Sale feeler: LP-2500 in blue quilt
I've had this for about 5 years, and it's just not getting the playing time it deserves and there is no point to it sitting here not getting played, so I thought I'd put it on the market. It's (I believe) an LP-2500 from about 2003. It's in excellent condition - I would call it "like new" ...

Re: No love for the bottom?
I've actually been playing more bass than guitar these days - I got a bass because I wanted to be able to make better demos, then I figured I should actually take some lessons so I could do it right, then I got a better bass, now I need a better amp...!
