Re: “Winter Wonderland” but Def Leppard style

I saw that somebody commented that you looked like Napoleon Dynamite on your YouTube page, which just is so wrong. You remind me much more of Poindexter from Revenge of the Nerds , which totally rocks, as does your playing, compositional skills, and production chops. Seriously, if Joe Elliott was s...

“Winter Wonderland” but Def Leppard style

Sup y’all, time for another Christmas rock tune. Wrote this one to try out the Rockman X100 pedal in a mix setting. Hope you like!

Looking for a CNB ESC 420 Display Case

Hey y'all, Rondo hasn't had any good display cases for the ALs in stock for a while now (as far as I can tell). I need one for my signed-by-Boston guitar. Anyone here willing to part with one?

“Separate Ways” but Steve Perry is a cello

Sup y’all. Usually I do an original Christmas rock tune but this year I’ve been wrecked by long COVID and my brain doesn’t work well enough to write music. Luckily I had this in the archives so I could still bring you something for Christmas. Hope you like!

Re: 0w-16 Car Oil...let's talk

I can't help but wonder if the fuel economy gains of 0W-16 will be offset by the engine burning all that oil and dying much sooner.

Sure, my V8 Lexus doesn't get great MPG, but it doesn't burn a single drop and will stay out of the landfill decades longer than most others.

Re: Went for a bike ride.

E-bikes are becoming the dominant strain and it’s quite concerning… I predict a few houses burned down by those giant lithium batteries will end the trend pretty quick. Yes, we will be much safer keeping our garages filled with gallons of ultra flammable/combustible fossil fuels ;-) Well here's the...

I haven't tried Thomastik strings on guitar but they make some of the best offerings for cello strings. Expensive too... The set I have on my cello is something like $400...

Kali LP8 studio monitors

I love these monitors so much I gotta post about them. One of my KRK Rokit 5s developed a short in the volume pot almost four years ago. I kept it alive by jamming some paper in just the right spot to keep the connections stable. But last night it finally went beyond my current ability to repair. So...

Probably a thermostat problem. Either stuck open or failed gasket allowing coolant to pass through and never warm up.

"Sleigh Ride" but Van Halen might've written it

This was a fun one I threw together over the past few weeks. I got lazy with my guitar tone and simply hit my Rockman with a Match EQ. But I tried a new approach to mixing drums! Normally I have all the elements separated for complete independence, this time I tried incorporating the room and overhe...

Guess which companies were better financially.

Re: Vintage "thin" vs Modern "BIG" Recorded Guitar Sounds (USING FRANK HANNON of TESLA AS AN EXAMPLE)

I'm surprised how much Hannon's recent sound resembles a Rockman. To my ears it sounds like there's something pushed in the mids in a Rockman like fashion. @eicca, at what frequency is the Rockman eq boosted, and does this guitar sound strike you as similar? The sound is similar for sure. I think t...

True if you want JUST the Rockman sound. :)
Nah, it works great for any DI signal! Using it after a load box or modeler would be superb!

I think the most effective way to get me to NOT be interested in something is to interrupt my video to tell me about it. That and "Hey don't skip this video!" BYE FELICIA.

Re: A raccoon doing my oil change!

Meh, the under-hood fabric liner isn't exactly a necessity. All it does is deaden a little sound. I got rid of the one on my V8 Lexus so I could hear said V8.

I'd be much more worried that the bugger chewed up some fluid lines or wiring somewhere. THAT could be a major pain.
