Update: they aren't paperweights, yay! I cleaned 'em and plugged in, they jam. That phaser seems to be loved or hated on various forums, well I love mine. I haven't tried them with a guitar but I got a cool sound with my bass that sounds "moist".

I recently found about these guys and this song inspired me to get a phaser and overdrive for my bass. I'm not learning the song but I sure do crank it a lot. I did figure out a lot of Sheep by Pink Floyd when I got my phaser.
