Re: What a racket eBay is

Not aiming this at you TMC. Beware the scare mongering that IRS will be coming armed with increased audits for "any and all" Americans. The increase for IRS is largely for more office work, including increased audits for the wealthiest,..."where the money is". And who the people...

NGD - Epiphone Ltd. Ed. 1959 LP Standard

Yup. I bought me an Epiphone LP copy, even thought I have a 2009 Agile CSB AL-2500. It's a darned nice guitar with Gibson pups, Switchcraft and CTS components, and a gorgeous satin finish. AND it comes with a hardshell case! Traded a 1985 Roland SH-101 synth I hadn't taken out of the box in years. A...

Re: Epiphone Casino — Opinions?

I've had one since 2007. It sat unplayed for a long time, and recently I started messing with it again and fell back in love. It came with one of those terrible import B70 Bigsbys, which I replaced last week with a standard trapeze tailpiece. The guitar is much lighter and feels airier. Also, flatwo...

Re: Why I don't own a Casino

I have one. Can't remember the year, but it's Chinese. I never fully bonded with it. Also, the pots seem to have frozen up while it's been living in a case. I've NEVER seen that happen and not sure what to do about it short of trying to actually remove and clean (or replace) them. I kind of just wan...

Re: Finally built a pedalboard

By the way, this is what I started out with when I began this project. It evolved pretty quickly as I discarded pedals that either weren't playing well with others (the GT-1) or I just didn't dig the sound of. The B9 was the first thing to go. It seemed like fun when I got it, but I found it pretty ...

Re: Finally built a pedalboard

Nice pedal choices! What amp are you using with this? The Ram's Head Muff is the best muff-tone there is, IMHO. I had a real one in the late 70's and can tell you the reissue nails it! Right now, it's plugged into the Vox Mini Superbeetle in my living room. But there are a Peavey Studio 110 and a B...

Re: Finally built a pedalboard

Let's see if this pic posts in better resolution. I've made some trades and substitutions. This past weekend, I traded in my 1988 Rat Distortion for an EH Eddy and a Boss Tremolo AND made 5 bucks on the deal. Glad I took good care of my toys. So here's where the board stands today. This should hold ...

Finally built a pedalboard

As much as I like my Katana and my GT1 multi fx, I wanted my pedals back. I finally took the plunge and bought a board for my old (and now some new) stompers. I missed twiddling knobs! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210517/6ed12aa455dde800ce39d409141aaddf.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...

Re: This Thing is an Agile Killer

With all due respect, for what they cost, a Schecter SHOULD be an Agile killer. I get what you're saying, and I agree to a point. But I thought the comparison was fair to make because: A) Both Agile and the Schecter Diamond Series are made in South Korea. B) This Schecter may have been made in the ...

Re: Do stickers bother you?

WD40 is supposed to work, though I have no practical experience. Not sure I would want to gain that experience on nitro either. WD40 DOES work. It's the only thing I use for removing stickers, and it's the only thing WD40 is good for IMO. It's good for keeping your rocket from rusting. I'm not maki...
