Re: AGF Evolution?

I can recall not too many years ago, AGF was buzzing with GAS inducing purchases and new memebers. Things have certainly changed. in a year of record music sales, AGF average consumption seem to have slowed down considerably. I guess we were just ahead of our time! ;) I remember when I first joined...

I like Rutherford's guitar playing and sound. Totally unique rhythm with an accent.

Re: A legit argument for overwrapping strings on a Les Paul.

The original stop tail wrap around bridge especially the fixed saddles is very obvious in sustain and harmonics. But I'm not really sure about the later guitars with a post separate bridge. I guess it also helps out with the sound if youre inspired and comfortable that your wrap-around setup makes a...

Re: a decade on: super strat study

Lessons learned: The Wolfie has no sustain. Literally it dies in under 5 seconds. But it sounds like an ELEPHANT like a big ol mean Les Paul. When I first plug it in at somebody's house they usually go "Whoa." You really don't expect that from such a small bodied fiddle. I blame several f...

Re: a decade on: super strat study

what size are the frets on the faded red? Hm good thing you made me go back and check the original Musikraft order. Those are not medium jumbos, those are 6000 super jumbos. And they are way easier to play over than the Wolfie's skinny-talls. Plus, really easy to make harmonics. Sometimes you get l...

Re: Budget Acoustic & Classical?

There are son many of them now. Not too long ago I picked up D'angelico classical budget. The looks is very nice but the sound is just okay. I had old Yamaha that sounds better. La Petrie (im not sure if I fumbled that) under seagull use to have good nylons. One of the best budget acoustic that I pl...

Re: How do you store all these damn guitars?

Good deal on flying. I have a friend that lives in surrey and had a chance to travel in thousand oaks California. we ended flying there for 6 days straight. It was really fun. the field was 10 minutes away from my house and were already there like 5:30 in the morning, leave at 11 going to lunch, com...

Re: How do you store all these damn guitars?

NO PICS from me on this topic. My back bedroom as AWASH in guitars and amps. Most guitars in Hard Cases, Stacked 2 high, a few in gig bags. If a burglar tries to steal them in the dark he will surely trip and break his neck! Eventual plan is have large bed removed from that room as it is almost nev...

Re: How do you store all these damn guitars?

Hi Friend and how are you? I think is a very healthy topic especially for some people that are trying to organize their music/store room. I will eventually do the same thing. the best ones I seen on your idea is the rack style on wheels. It doesn't have to be that one. I suggest you make your own 2 ...

Re: Whats your' latest gear acquisition?

So I came into a bit of money and decided to treat myself to something on my GAS list. 2020 Fender Lead III from Sweetwater. I didn't take these pics, but they ARE of the actual guitar. I'm really loving this thing! I never really liked the idea of humbuckers in a Fender (except when I had one in t...
