My brain remembers him as being an amp builder and pickguard maker and living in one of the Dakota states.
Twang?
no, Twang is not nrussel.
Yeah I know Twang isn't Nick (NRussell)...I was talking about the Amp builder who did pickguards...

IIRC...the neck on this was pretty chunky and had a nice unfinished feel to it. It was a quality guitar for the price.

Re: Febreze

I remember driving thru the nightmare that is Rt 17 towards the Paramus mall yo check out a craigslist guitar. I seem to remember it was a hollow body Epiphone (Broadway) at a reasonable price. I was stoked. As soon as I walked into the guy's house I knew what was coming, the stench of his freshly ...

Re: Anyone remember Jim?

His epic meltdown over his lack of customer service from a string company was Top 10 in the Old AGF. I bought a Harm1 from him. "Top 10 in the old AGF" needs to be a thread, maybe even with multiple categories. Some of my nominations would include 1. The Harpmaster/AJL saga - probably cou...

Re: Rare Bird Rescue

So I had a SX ISIS CUS 24 NA at one point. Stock pickups were a little off. P2050002-sm.JPG I ended up upgrading a bunch of things eventually getting it like this. P90's lined up nicely. PICT0004.JPG PICT0002.JPG PICT0007.JPG I eventually donated it for a silent auction a bunch of years back. It was...

Re: Mood...do you little guitars?

That song is magic. The wavey (phased?) guitar tone on the bridge and those dreamy VH harmonies. And no guitar solo! Well, not really, just a short slide interlude. Diver Down is often disparaged, but I hold it in no less esteem than the other five contiguous Roth era VH records. There is a combina...
