NGD: Who knows about Esp/Zep?
Hi All, I snagged this recently off reverb. Seller claimed it to be an 80s esp that had some work done. One thing he failed to disclose is that the backplate says Zep on it. While I don’t know a ton about them Zep is apparently comparable to Edwards. And while it’s a nice guitar I feel like I got a ...

FS/FT Yamaha SBG 2000
So this is somewhat of a hard to find guitar. A Yamaha SBG 2000. This one has seen better days. Some of the major issues are -White hue to the finish. Not sure if it was left outside or something else happened? -Looks like someone did something with the bridge at one point - it has a pickguard becau...

So instead of adding another post. I figured I’d show these two that I snagged today. I can’t even believe I have 3 yamahas, much less one.

Vintage Yamaha NGD
Snagged this puppy from gc’s used section. It’s a Yamaha SBG 2000. At first I was very let down- finish is foggy (no idea what happened here), has bumps and bruises which I’m fine with and also was routed for three pickups, hence the pickguard. Also looks like maybe someone put a different bridge on...

Re: NGD: Latest Coffee Table strat
Only thing that was a miss was the knobs. I thought the clear knobs would make the wood visible but they’re just a bit too much.
May just go with black

Re: Reverb-1099
Wife's friend is IRS agent. I floated this by her in text. Her reply: Hi-I just saw your message. I am not sure what they are expecting people in your situation to do. They are really looking for people running small businesses that get paid through these sites, not the average Joe selling old stuf...

NGD: Latest Coffee Table strat
A few months ago I got the parts together to make a crude copy of a Luxxtone guitar that I fell in love with (but didn’t want to pay $3k for). My friend affectionately calls it the coffee table strat. I have a younger family member who absolutely loves the look. So I decided to have one made for him...

Reverb-1099
So because I live in the magical state of New Jersey I got a 1099 from reverb for 2021. A couple of big sales pushed me to almost 9k. Planning to get my taxes done soon and was curious if anyone had any experience with this? Looks like I’ll have to do a schedule c form to show how much I paid for th...

Good catch! Didn't even notice that.
Had to snap pictures of it quickly because technically we have a quarantine rule for any new boxes/guitars.

Jackson Ke1. Marty Friedman model. Still needs to get cleaned up, stringed up, etc but you don’t see these too often.

Picked this beauty up last night. It’s missing the kahler arm, frets are oxidized, and has a few bumps but it’s a super cool guitar. Especially considering I paid less than the cost of a used Epiphone for this. I’m a big fan of single pickup guitars and this one checks off a lot of boxes. Will take ...

Got this a couple weeks ago, still really really loving it. Blown away by the quality! https://i.postimg.cc/v8rWQ1FL/IMG-8243.jpg Harley Benton ? Yep, it's a Fusion T. Full thread here: https://aguitarforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2700 Hey slowhand. Curious if you’ve ordered any strats from gui...

Re: Buddha pickups
If he nails this, I'd very much like to know about it. Ask for "Narshbuckers".... Trust me, he nailed it. Just found a tune I did earlier this year with my PRS Tremonti which is loaded with the Narshbucker set. These were the original prototypes. They are freaking sick sounding. https://s...

Re: Buddha pickups
Funny, i just had Tim make me a set of pickups for a project i'm putting together. My goal was to do a pickup similar to the bareknuckle warpig for the bridge and a single coil not far from the SD screamin' demon for the neck.
He was super easy to deal with and i can't wait to hear the pickups!

Re: New projects done!
Those are stunning instruments. Dumb question but what wood is the second one? Hi there, sorry. I have been having issues trying to sign in to the forum the last few weeks. Finally got everything sorted out today. The strat is a curly spalted ambrosia maple on sapele (mahogany wood). Most people do...

New projects done!
Hello all, It’s been a while since I’ve posted here. Had some things come up that were not so positive. In the meantime I had a few projects I had finished (disclaimer - I’m no luthier, all the work was done by a local gentleman who is amazing) The first - I have wanted a koa looking Bc rich mocking...

Re: Two new finished projects
Funny thing about that warmoth. I bought the body then two months later the neck. I thought they were a perfect match. Had like 5 people tell me it would look awful- now they are singing a different tune. Luckily the guitar plays and looks great! I highly recommend the Wilkinson pickups too, very ve...

Two new finished projects
So here are a few cool projects that I’ve had for some time. Finally brought them to my guitar guy who did an amazing job. First one Warmoth PRS style body and warmoth neck. Gotoh Floyd rose (it’s blocked) and Wilkinson pickups. Took me about 5 months to get all the parts, and I almost got rid of it...

Buying a new car- what can we negotiate?
Hi Gang, Unfortunately my mom was recently in a car accident and her 2011 Subaru Forester with only 70k miles was totalled. Luckily my mom escaped major physical harm. Now that she is starting to recover a bit mentally we discussed buying her another car. It will most likely be another Forester (hel...

That last guitar is a nice looking copy of a Caparison (lesser know high end brand).
