Like Goldilocks, I went through a few examples of the AL-3100MCC, till I found this one, which -- after a few minor mods -- was "jussssst right" (for me, at any rate -- YMMV). Can't imagine ever letting it go.

I don't know that I'd be willing to learn how to play left-handed in order to save $200, so, kudos.

I wasn't aware of this model. It's a ruggedly handsome instrument, with those inlays adding a touch of Deco elegance. Assuming it sounds as good as it looks, Cort hit it out of the park with this one. It's a bolt on, correct? Is it still in production? Where did you get this one? Traditional 4-bolt...

Yeah, they're a cool "hand me down" from the original Cort Sunset I -- a larger, Gretsch-like semi-hollow that came stock with TV Jones pickups -- which hit the market now over a decade ago!

Here are the other two -- more subtle -- mods that no one picked up on... Swapped a lightweight aluminum tailpiece and tune-o-matic bridge in place of the the stocker (which sports Graph Tech saddles); getting more "zing" and "braannngggg" than before. https://i.postimg.cc/kgxVVS...

These are the innards of the humbucker-sized Valco/Supro-style single coil bridge pickup found on the Reverend Rick Vito Signature model guitar; the company calls it the "Dual Pro" pickup -- ought to give the curious a good idea of what's goin' on in these types of pickups... vito_VT_picku...

Some guitars are just DOA. Many can be brought back to life (e.g., different gauge strings, a new bridge made from a different metal), but there are a few that are simply duds than cannot be revived no matter what one tries.
