Re: NGD - Color Shift!
Nice! I have one also. I also didn't pay full price, but didn't get quite the deal you got. Mine does have the chrome bridge like you mentioned, and also has the push/pull coil splits one both the volume (for neck pup) and tone (for bridge pup). I have the same thoughts on how well it plays. The on...

NGD - Color Shift!
Well, this one was definitely unplanned...but away we go. I've had an itch for a color-shift finish guitar for a while now, I've had a few in the past (Petrucci models, etc) and have recently been wanting one again. As many here know I'm a big fan of Harley Benton's Fusion models but they're not off...

Re: Agile and stainless steel frets
Don't mean to drift this thread, though the question I'm posing is directly related to stainless steel frets. I'm aware that EVH used stainless frets on many of his later, signature model guitars. But at what point did Eddie switch from using regular nickel frets to stainless frets? Was it during t...

Re: Agile and stainless steel frets
Hey does anyone here, have an Agile AL type guitar (LP style body) with stainless steel frets ? I've noticed that some of Agile's non LP type guitars have stainless steel frets. The Agile interceptor ( I think that's the right name) has them. Is this something you can get with a custom order? I'm a...

Re: NGD - Flame On!
Sorry guys, been a crazy week so I didn't see these posts until now. what would you compare the neck to? I really want one of the magenta ones Their necks are basically a Modern C profile, they are not Ibanez Wizard thin but not super chunky either. I'd say unless you need a really thin neck or a re...

Re: NGD - Flame On!
I wish a used one of these would pop up cheap nearby me. No such luck thus far. HNGD once again! Yeah GC Used is really the spot, I got all 7 of my HBs there. I think if I recall you're not in the US though? Nope. GC doesn't send to Canada. I could get a mailbox in Watertown but... ehh. I hear you....

One more pic from the side here, wild figure anywhere ya look and the fretboard is as nice as the neck. Still no clue why some of my photos rotate in the thumbnail, but if you click it it'll show up properly

Re: NGD - Flame On!
No worries my friend! The Spark is a REALLY amazing tool, it's basically the next generation of stuff like the Line 6 Pod from back in the day but way more feature-laden and better sounding. They have a huge database (like Line 6 did) of user-created tones that you can download, an app that syncs w...

Re: NGD - Flame On!
Oh it's in my original post above, this is just my Spark 40 amp on my coffee table recorded with my iPhone . Obviously things would sound MUCH better with my actual rig, but the Spark is so convenient I tend to go for that more often than not when I need to record a quick clip or two. I've hea...

NGD - Flame On!
New Year, same lust for Harley Benton Fusions with insanely figured roasted flame maple necks  . I sold two Fusions that I had that were basically identical to ones I already owned, but the one Fusion model missing from my stable was an SSH model...so I've been keeping an eye out for one at GC ...

Re: Tons of Lefty Agile/SX at MGR!
Yep, which is why in my initial post I explicitly said "Ignore the quoted shipping cost and just call the store if you're interested in any of these, they'll provide you with an actual shipping cost", which I thought would be $50-ish. Looks like I wasn't too far off since they quoted @mic...

Re: Tons of Lefty Agile/SX at MGR!
They're not going to do a GC shipping rate, GC has contracts with UPS because of the volume and MGR does nowhere near that volume so they pay pretty much what you or I would pay to ship a guitar. I'd guess it would be closer to $50 but depends on the store and what service they use. I agree they wo...

Re: Tons of Lefty Agile/SX at MGR!
Thanks for the heads-up, a solid body Agile Tele is on my bucket list. I'm going to call the store tomorrow and see if they can give me a better shipping rate. They're just outside of Atlanta, and shipping from there to South FL shouldn't cost $106. I did not see any of those when I checked the MGR...

Tons of Lefty Agile/SX at MGR!
Bit of a rare opportunity for our AGF lefties here...whole bunch of Agile and SX lefties for sale at MGR in Georgia. Ignore the quoted shipping cost and just call the store if you're interested in any of these, they'll provide you with an actual shipping cost. Includes a few original horn models too...

Re: PSA: Interesting Agile triple pickup AL/LP - $300 at GC
I've never seen one like this before. Original headstock, three pickups, unusual CSB finish (tribal? Burl?). The middle pickup is different from the neck and bridge, and a brand I couldn't really find any info on. I'm wondering if it might have been added as the ring is a different color and has a ...

Re: 1st Gen Agile AL at GC - $349
...I would not use it as a baseline for individual sales because those are two separate things, the best baseline for actual market value is recent sold listings...and not the very highest one, but an average. If a bunch of AL3Ks sold for $350 recently and one sold for $550, it doesn't mean the mar...

Re: 1st Gen Agile AL at GC - $349
I don't know if GC paying out half the amount that they list the guitars for is an urban legend or not, but if it isn't then it gives some sort of crude baseline to estimate what it might fetch individual to individual. Maybe figure GC trade-in value plus 50% or GC listed price minus 25%? The only ...

Re: 1st Gen Agile AL at GC - $349
Anyone else notice the pointers on the tuners? Unless my eyes are deceiving me, the truss rod cover looks tulip shaped, which I don't believe is stock. Along with the non-stock bridge pickup, one can reasonably speculate that somebody was trying to make this Agile more like a real Gibson... Also, I...

Re: Agile 2800
I think it is important to differentiate between what people are asking and what they are actually selling for. Lots of people see Agile ALs posted on Reverb for $500+ and think that represents market value, but market value is only a factor of sold listings and what they went for. That said I abso...

Re: Agile 2800
Inflation is obviously a thing and affects a lot of stuff, and the market is of course always changing...but I refer you back to my original point, which is that certain guitars go up in value and others don't. Agile is just not one of those brands that really gains value over time, regardless of t...
