Re: Putting dog-ear P90s into semi-hollow? Easy or not?

I used a router and cut in back entry plates on my 2 Agile AS2000s. Now I can swap pups around easy.
Traced a backplate where I wanted, and set the router to about 1/2 depth to take a swath as deep as plate thickness, removed the rest, etc.
Didnt botch it, which is nice.

Re: "Lovin Cup" effort

That sounds nice. The jam group I partake in is also doing this song. I play the capoed guitar line. We have a gal keyboardist who nails the intro and piano lines throughout the song. On her first day playing with us I heard her play that intro....wow. Stop everything! What!!! I coudnt believe it. T...

Re: New Neck Day (NND)

That looks like a nice neck. I'd use a mineral/ guitar oil on fretboard, and tru oil on back. If it doesnt fit the affinity, I'd get another body that it does fit. Dont augment that beautiful neck's heel. I love my 25" conversion neck. Tru Oil is a great back of neck oil, and body finish oil. I...

Such a nice place. I remember being a student at CSU and going down to see two separate events there. Talking Heads, and B-52's.

Re: NGD: Agile Harm 1

I like your thinking. A second one for variant testing. I've got a low wind strat set that sounds great raised up high. Perhaps they have weaker mags in them, IDK . But they seems to allow being closer to strings before wolf-mag notes cut in. Low winds also seem good for boost and lighter OD pedals ...

Re: Most Unusual Agile LP I've EVER Seen

Back off-track, some text from Wiki regarding early LP . Likely, there were several early conceptions bandied about. "McCarty stated that design discussions with Les Paul were limited to the tailpiece and the fitting of a maple cap over the mahogany body for increased density and sustain, which...

Re: Most Unusual Agile LP I've EVER Seen

I thought Gibson got Les's ideal backwards, as if he wanted a maple body with a mahogany cap, but Gibson got it backwards in the shop.

That was so interesting. Love Steve Howe. He's a most humble GOAT founding progressive guitarists. I'm not even sure I'd put John McLaughlin in an "as interesting" an early prog player category. [url]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51oPKLSuyQY&t=20s/url] Steve and Les [url]https://www....

I play a lot on my couch unplugged. maybe 2/3rds the time. Its easiest. But plugged in gets me involved a bit more enthusiastically. I brought a small scale electric to plink around on unplugged during my time waiting for the eclipse totality to occur. Played for about 4 hours unplugged. I drove abo...

Re: Having problems with my nut

I bet its the nut slot. That headstock makes the B and E string move out the nut at a bigger angle than many headstocks. I wonder if the slot needs to be widened at the backside of the nut, or if the slot floor isnt angled down enough to the back, as TMC mentioned. I picked up a cheap set of nut slo...

I found a few songs I really liked, sampling official vids. One was of more Spanish style. Good for her to try and mash in a new direction. Good to have more change/mashing in pop in general, I guess. On another note, I've been playing with a harmonica guy and my bass friend in practices once a week...
