Re: My 3 Guitars That I Play the Most
Those look great. I think I'm the opposite - always embracing change. I keep playing different guitars every day because that seems to keep it interesting for me. It's kinda like a NGD when I grab a guitar I haven't played in weeks or so. I hear you there. I had been doing that for a while myself, ...

Also, in the three years since my huge ass head photo on the side, most that that brown has gone grey (in the beard) or left he building (up top). Aging... it's a peach. Here are a few more shots of my current threesome: IMG_3976.jpeg IMG_3977.jpeg IMG_3978.jpeg IMG_3979.jpeg IMG_3980.jpeg IMG_3981....

My 3 Guitars That I Play the Most
Hey all, Been a long time since I've stalked these hallowed halls. I miss you guys! I'd like to say that by staying away I've managed to save money not impulse buying gear, but alas, that would make me a god damn liar. And we'll have none of that here! Bubba Zanetti let me know he had heard from tob...

Re: Epiphone Sheraton w/ Mini Hums
That's a very pretty guitar right there. I haven't spent a ton of time with a semi hollow with mini humbuckers, but Bubba Zanetti has a cool on that is very warm but still has a really nice articulation to it. I've never played a guitar with mini-humbuckers. How do they compare to full-size? I've fo...

Re: What is your end game in buying guitars?
The end game sure looks like divorce! I kid. I kid. For me, I wanted to try everything. Pickups, shapes, variations. And over time I learned what I loved for different situations. From this journey I've learned quite a few things: I love parts "Fenders" that I can spec exactly as I want th...

Re: New (used) Guitar Day Xs 2 Gibsons
Just be careful.... Les Pauls are addictive. IMG_5422.jpg Yes, Les Pauls are addicting. I have to force myself not to splurge on another. It wouldn't be bad if I actually played more and in public. Being a home picker I can't justify another. I keep telling myself I need to let a few go, but talk m...

Re: New (used) Guitar Day Xs 2 Gibsons
Both my 2019 Standard 60s and 2020 Standard 50s have metal inserts. Good to know, I have noticed that they've been doing little teaser things like that over the past several years - sneaking in things like ABR bridges, burst bucker pickups, etc on the Gibson USA models. I think that's a good thing ...

Re: Testing a few humbucker pickups
I hear slightly more bite and clarity in the ceramic magnet pups, which works well with the type of riffing you're doing in the demo. I've always found it difficult to access a pickup through a sound demo alone. Different types of pickups feel different to me while playing, and that quality cannot ...

Missed you man! So I've only played a sideways a few times. It's a different beast but I do like them. I've missed out on a few opportunities but have yet to own one. Here's the Wildwood Select Standard. The group photo has my Signature T and my 2013 Standard that has a fun rock star past to it. Re...

Spark for the win! Portable. Wish it could be battery powered though. Lots of tone options, a tuner, etc. It's my office amp. I can practice at low volume or put in some headphones. With the times as they are these days, it seems like someone is always home at my house too. My tube amps are all rest...

Great oooogly booglies... those are two amazing axes. That LP has one of the best tops and and finishes I've ever seen. Man oh man, that's a score right there. I'm a sucker for a little bit of mineral lines in the top. What a gorgeous beast! Congrats and well bought good sir! I just picked up a 2021...

My latest is actually this pine body telecaster with a thin skin nitro that I've put together. I love this stupid thing and if you look at the combination of finish and super soft wood, it's already starting to relic itself naturally! My latest full guitar is actually quite a bit cork sniffery... b...

I love the Billy Bo. I've never played a legit one but did play a Chinese copy with some TV Jones pickups in it. Pretty darn cool if you ask me!

Someone should reach out to hbowner, have him wash his hands from all the BBQ and babes and bless this new vessel like a bottle of champagne on the bow.

Re: Kurt selling Agile brand?
He can also likely sell the Agile line... then shortly thereafter increase the amount of SX guitars he imports. I'd imagine he avoids ones now that step on his Agile toes.
If he just distributes he doesn't have to play the factory hunt, argument etc game.

Re: Hey! Look at my Gibson
I'm actually a professional cork sniffer. I have tone wool boxers. But to be unique I only use left handed strings on my righty guitars.
