no profanity rule

I understand why the no cussing rules are now here. I have rarely used those words in here if at all. Since the forum is slowing and I can't use certain words I'll rarely come in. As for using langue my mother approves , she has a potty mouth and uses profanity with abandon.

Re: A story of perseverance

Just met a 20 something guy who has spent the last year trying to learn acoustic backwards. He's a lefty, which we had a few laughs about. After commiserating on the shortage of either handed guitars I did turn him on to Sweetwater and why players like it. I mentioned a few brands know to be decent i...

Re: Lefty GAS pains

I feel your pain my brother. We're in the same boat, as it were. As a lefty considering bass I was looking at those 2 myself. I was leaning towards the Talman bass in that I trust Ibanez quality and yes the talman is low on the rungs. I'd love to hear a bass player weigh in on those 2 myself. A pine...

He also has a legit reason to route the body for a Floyd. Neat trick but not the style I play . Full of Snark today.

Mad skillz but are they playing the same song? I don't have the capacity to enjoy jazz fusion, think. [/quote Lol yes Tommy Joe Pass is Playing Charlie Parker's Sax part while Neils Plays Miles' trumpet part. Nightingale is just the old jazz standard bopped up. Full tilt bebop is a bitch to get int...

Don't know how I missed hearing of him all these years. RHOP the man is or was a freak attached to an upright bass.

Re: TalkBass is Down

Really surprised there was no offsite backup. As a linux admin I knew used to preach backup backup backup. ! onsite 1 crosstown and one halfway cross country. That way at least one is safe at all times. Accidentally wiping an active server while doing maintenance as admin cured him of carelessness.

Glad it got there safely. Shame the p'ups aren't more to your liking , but you do have the ones you'd like there. I believe the body is a maple plywood type as most semis are, the question being what the middle ply is. If the color is like mine, and I'd bet it is, like a violin got a burst finish al...

I've been gassing over a cab for the quilter microblock. Either a 1 x 12 with a 4 ohm texas heat or a 2 x 12 with 2 8 ohm paralleled. And you know what a rabbit hole cabs and speakers are. At least I limited it to open back.

Another cover band trying to make things work in a Covid world. Were they trying for the exact tone of Led Zep ? Doubt it female lead and the costumes tell you they got their own thing but do 80's 70's covers since money DUH. Give them credit for getting work and attention for making music good or n...
