This guy just arrived: https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240426/c93bd7272b0029bdac1d295c6a018263.jpg It’s a strandberg essentials 6, have been curious about them for a while and these came out and i got a tax refund and well, stuff happened. Don’t have a fully formed opinion yet though. Sent from ...

Re: Tastes Like Chicken?
They're tough little buggers. After the nukes fall all that will be left is them, cockroaches, water bears, and Keith Richards. By the way, how are you going to repair the hole? I'm guessing that an extraordinarily handy guy like you can probably weld on top of all your other skills. If it was me I...

Ok...here is an interesting tidbit, Squier / Andertons / Chicago Music Exchange will be offering an Antigua line...even a Tele Custom...hmm...now I'm interested except they would likely never make it to Thailand. https://www.chicagomusicexchange.com/products/squier-classic-vibe-70s-telecaster-custo...

Re: Tastes Like Chicken?
You can't make this stuff up. I have an expensive 10500-watt back-up generator for when the power goes out (note that my power has not gone out long enough to use it in ten years). The gas tank sprung a leak and I was expecting to find that it rusted. When I took it apart to begin the repair or rep...

Re: Whats your' latest gear acquisition?
Last night I received a package from the snowy North that included a bunch of new straps. I have a pair of Orange Frame JBL D-120F's that are on their way to Upland for a recone, and I have a Mu-Tron clone due to arrive Thursday. Pictures to be posted in the near future! Here are the AD-3200's line...

Re: A Trip to Antigua
I do not like that finish but I am sure some do. I could never bond with a Strat anyway so it will never be an issue for me. Is it the single coils or the body style/scale length that you don't get on with ? I once put a GFS humbucker pre wired guard into an old cheapo strat and it was fabulously f...

Re: Very Cool 1964 Danelectro/Silvertone Restoration
Cool guitar, I like the sound. I had a Danelectro Mod 6 which was one of the early 2000's reissues. The lipstick pickups were awesome and it also had a varitone switch similar to an ES 345. I always credit that guitar with saving me as a guitar player because it helped me get thru a tough time when...

Re: Hotone Pulze
Yeah...420€ it's not too bad, and likely to cause very little 'domestic distortion' with the rather non-technical appearance. If it doubles as a home BT speaker with good sound, it's a good concept. If I didn't already have a plugin rig as a guitar amp, those Amperos could well be my choice of mode...

Very Cool 1964 Danelectro/Silvertone Restoration
Cool Dan-o guitar with built in amp case. Too bad he didn't talk about the amp at all..but the guitar is pretty slick and in good shape after 60 years for sure

Re: Harmony Juptiter
So I was again watching guitar porn on the Harmony Jupiter and the video demo pointed out that while it's expensive, some of that is the premium Mono padded Bag included and of course, the Ntitrocellulose finish which will age and crack beautifully in 40 to 50 years. @ 65 years of age, I'm thinking ...

Tried to donate both with Thai card or USA card but the hangup seems to be the system won't accept my location being Thailand and cannot change it to USA (I guess fraud prevention). If you have a bank account that can take Zell transfers I can go direct from my USA bank. I sent a PM...but it's just...

Re: Custom Inlays
The late (great) Buster B. Jones had a guitar with "BUSTER B" inlaid on the neck. At least until a couple of airport baggage handlers in Memphis TN decided they needed it worse than Buster did. Of course they worried about "fencing" it with all the inlay on the neck, so they too...

Re: Custom Inlays
After just putting in dots on the fretboard of the guitar my son and I are building.......I cant imagine the talent needed to do that! And thats before CNC machines.... Yeah .it's a good bet those aren't stickers. Maybe rhinestones? (Mother of pearl) based upon another guitar up at auction. lf.jpeg
