Re: Most Unusual Agile LP I've EVER Seen

I'd guess it is someone's custom order from back when Kurt was taking custom orders. Taking the orders was fine, delivery was the problem Yeah, you are kind. He was not good at at taking the orders or delivering the orders. He was good at holding my cash in his account accumulating interest for the...

Re: Tech Question for Amp Gurus

This is a topic that hits me close to home because I came of age as a guitarist when rack mounted gear and the famous Bradshaw rigs were becoming prominent. Having one foot back in an era when great guitar tone meant plugging straight into a cranked Plexi, rack mounted units like the ADA MP-1 were ...

Valeton GP-200 LT Final Thoughts

So I just sold my GP-200 and while I still think it's a great pedal, here is why I sold it. The reason I bought the GP-200 was that I had the GP-100 in conjunction with a small SS Mooer Hornet amp. The Hornet was a decent enough amp but sounded just a bit sterile on it's own. The Valeton GP-100 made...

Re: Tech Question for Amp Gurus

I'm not close to being a guru, just used a lot of gear over decades, so take with a lump of salt... You're not likely going to get a very good line level match between a line out and an effects return, but you're also not going to blow anything up. If you can control the level of the line out from ...

Tech Question for Amp Gurus

Ok...a quickie tech question for you amp/electronics gurus

If I had a SS amp with effects, would it be possible to take the Line Out from the SS amp into an Effects Loop on a tube amp, with the stated goal of using the effcts on the SS Amp with the power amp and speaker of the tube amp ?

Re: Sam Ash To Shutdown Remaining Stores

I used to love going to Sam Ash in Edison NJ. It was a refuge, on Sunday's (as I did everyday) I would stay with my Mom at her nursing home and as my treat to de-stress I would head over to Sam Ash on my way home and ogle some Amps / Guitars / Pretty sales girl (I wonder if she's still there ?). I a...

Re: New GC direction

Hm... I was thinking about the margin on a $100 strat 'n amp starter pack vs. an Epiphone. Or a Gibson. It's all in volume, I'd guess. It seems as if they're sacrificing volume for bigger margins. Maybe this has nothing to do with the OP but I found it interesting. From a TGP post.. "Overall g...

 It might. Just make sure you experience it before GC's final bankruptcy. I guess I'm confused and pardon me because I haven't been to GC in about 10 years. But didn't they always have a 'high end' room where you could play and test some higher end stuff off the floor, usually only reserved fo...
