Re: What's that guitar you're still missing?

Would love to have a double cut P90 and an LP Junior. For nostalgia sake, I had a dark blue Washburn A20 as a teenager so I guess that one makes the list as well.

Re: NGD!

Great looking (and sounding) Gretsch! I have two special needs grandchildren. One with Phealan McDermid Syndrome and the other with autism (non-verbal). Those who step up and help these kids and adults are appreciated beyond belief, thank you Tommy. And what a great gesture Scott! This post made my ...

Song Mash-up Ideas

I'm looking for inspiration for song mash-ups for our set. We currently play a Midnight Rider/Can't You See/Hey Jude mash-up that goes over well. Thinking about the Wonderwall/Boulevard of Broken Dreams. Looking to see if any of you have a favorite mash-ups that you have played that went over well. ...

Re: Gig Tonight - Easy Load In/Out!

We use just one Bose "stick" with the band as well. Set it beside the drummer and just about don't need a monitor in some locations. Do you need a mixer if you are runnnng three or more mics/inputs into the system? I would say yes, in my case anyway. The L1 Compact has 1 xlr and (1) 1/4” ...

I hope that the gig went well.
Haha. I hear you. They are all over FB Marketplace around here.

The gig went great, thanks.

Gig Tonight - Easy Load In/Out!

Our Trio has a gig tonight. Getting the gear ready this morning. Everything in one load! 20 minute setup/tear down.

I absolutely love the Bose L1 system and my Backline gear bag. Make things easy for an old guy. lol.

Loved it Tommy. Our band is taking about working this one into the set. I don't hear covered often but when I do, almost everyone in the room is singing along!

Labor Day Gig

A little late posting this. We got invited to play at the Blueberry Festival this year in Plymouth IN. It’s a pretty big 4 day festival. They have 3 stages with live music all weekend. They are 1 hour slots. FOH is provided by a company out of Georgia. We got the noon- 1pm slot. Great pay as well. I...

Re: Whats your' latest gear acquisition?

I picked up this bag during my last trip to Sweetwater. The D'Addario Backline Gear Transport Pack. It holds everything we need for my acoustic band; cables, mics, guitar cords, tools, spare strings & batteries, mixer and power strip. It was a bit more than I wanted to spend but if it means one ...

I really didn't think I liked them until I actually tried them in a full band setting. I liked them a much more when our sound guy set up a room mic in order to hear the crowd a bit.

Yep. I picked up the Taylor to sit in a different space than our other guitarist. I’m sure no one can tell in a live setting other than us and other guitar players. :)

New strings

I picked up a set of Martin Kovar SP Core strings (11 - 52) for my Taylor AD-17e. My hope is that they will roll off some of the high end I get from the Taylor. I haven’t seen these before. Has anyone tried them yet?

Can you share the set-list? It looks like you handled the vocals. I sing about 1/2 of the songs. Bob, the other guitarist and Aaron the bass player handle the rest. Here was our setlist. 1. Pink Houses – Mike 2. Stuck In The Middle – Mike 3. You Don’t Know How It Feels - Aaron 4. Folsom Prison Blue...
