So you're using the Wang Mini 5 as your amp? I don't have that but I have no doubt that 5 watts can be too loud for home use at times. I LOVE mine. I have gigged it many times. It's small and light. The neck finish has a purplish tint to it which is not really pleasing but the fit and finish is amazingly nice . I had to reglue a fret marker.
