Re: NGD Liquid

Well after a 24 delay in Phoenix, my Liquid arrived yesterday and it spent some time in quarantine and climate adjustment before being unboxed. I am not articulate in describing the feel and play and comparing it to obscure references, and really what can I say about it? I can however post pictures...

Re: New PRS SE Hollowbody II Piezo

Just answered my own question. $1,549 is the most expensive Chinese made electric guitar I've ever seen. prs.jpeg Yikes, I knew they moved a lot of their production from WMI to Cor-Tek Indonesia but didn't realize some of these upper end models were made by Cor-Tek China. Even the aforementioned Sc...

Re: New PRS SE Hollowbody II Piezo

Beautiful guitar. Looks kinda like what my Ibanez AS93FM Violin Burst would if it had a PRS body.

The price does seem totally wonky for a MIK instrument. It is made in Korea, correct? Maybe Indonesia?

Great energy! Love your band name. The singer wearing a facemask is a great look. Please don't take this offensively, as it is not meant that way, but are you the guy who looks like Rick from Pawn Stars? :D

The five types of lists that should be ignored: 1) Those that tell you there are guitars you should never buy. 2) Those that tell you you need one more cat. 3) Any list composed by Scott Groove. 4) Any list of the best Nu Metal songs of the 90s. 5) Any list of the top five lead guitar players of gru...

Re: Say What You Want About This Guy, But He Still Has An Official Agile Endorsement, And You Don't!

I wonder whatever happened to John Way? I will always have a special place in my heart for Jon Way. He was my introduction to Agile and Rondo. Before I ever found AGF and knew any of you folks I watched his videos on YouTube. The intro music to his videos and his smooth baritone voice make me feel ...

Say What You Want About This Guy, But He Still Has An Official Agile Endorsement, And You Don't!

Don't believe me? Check this page out from the Rondo website. https://www.rondomusic.com/product10464.html So he was not just a faux pas , not just a marketing mistake, not something in the rear view mirror and hopefully fading from memory. He's still very much alive an well in Rondo-land. Could it ...

This kid is an absolute doppelganger for my little brother at 15. And, he plays kind of the same too, though my bro didn't develop his yngvie shred until about age 24 or so. Even the same wide vibrato. I could close my eyes, that's my brother Jeff playing 30 years ago. My brother is single, never h...

Re: Classic Rock Tone Anyone?

I do the Chorus trick myself :) I see the wah trick as more about focusing rather than fattening the tone. It's sorta a paradox that to sound more prominent in the context of a band the guitar must be narrower and thinner in a total eq sense, but more focused and pushed in particular frequencies. S...

I was wondering when the pawnshops would open back up in your parts, looks like they still haven't changed the pricing policies. Nice score. They actually never closed at any time, though out of caution I did stop going to them for a couple months. When I asked a pawn shop owner about this he said ...

Can you see if it's a thread in bar? I would think it's metric and should be able to make something work. Also, are the pots orignal, there should be a date code on a cts pot. This pot looks like it has an "86" on it. Would that mean manufactured in 1986? If so, it's got to be original to...

Re: YAMAHA RGX 612S 1987 SUPERSTRAT PAWN SHOP FIND

The only thing is, if the whammy bar needs parts, you could have a hard time. I found one for my Pacifica that was $56 after shipping. For the bar only. Great bridge, aside from that. After doing lots of online research of this guitar over the last 24 hours I began getting bombarded with advertisin...
